Right now, at this moment, it is certain Trump extremists who have openly called for and supported an attempted violent insurgency, and planned it on social media platforms. Parler was a global forum with members from all over the world, including me. I had built up friends and contacts with people from other countries and we were discussing non-American themes. It was not a U.S political forum. It was international. Much like Twitter. Now it's all gone, we've been censored by the Stalinists, apparently because they allowed images of the protests on Wednesday. Real reason was that they kicked Trump off Twitter and had to block his potential bolthole. But the whole world has to suffer because of Democrat control freakery.

I'm on the side of our democratic institutions - we've up held them for more than two centuries and they've seen us through even worse times. To discard them now...well, I don't know what to say. Too many people today (imo, and including myself) lack the farsightedness, education, and self-restraint that the people who developed our Constitution had. To enact a revolution over losing an election, based on false conspiracy theories would be the worst reason for a revolution. Do you trust anyone to create a better Constitution? I don't.
