And as I’ve stated many times, we are moving on, we are moving forward because we have stopped the cuts, we have started to increase and this year Romania announced that they will reach the 2% target. Latvia and Lithuania have announced that next year they will reach the 2% target. So total defence spending is increasing and more countries are reaching the 2% guideline.

Canada was not mentioned in the above NATO statement, but they are working on finding a way to commit more than in the past.

The budget for National Defence, currently at almost $19 billion, increases by about $600 million annually. I doubt that the U.S. has done much hacking private businesses in other countries, but the history of the U.S. interfering in the politics of other countries dates back at least to the 1950s and probably much before that.

NATO had an agreement in place for years, Trump threw a tantrum, and NATO said they will continue to comply with the agreement. So nothing changed, except that our NATO allies have now publicly declared that the U.S. cannot be relied on.

Judgment on Gog
