With the ambulance stuck in the traffic, that person would most likely die. Take it from someone whose father was an EMT in North Carolina for 5 years. These people would go there whether or not the environment was political. Conversely, let's say the rally had trained paramedics on site, then they would have had no way of getting to the hospital with an ill/injured patient.
