BREAKING: The Supreme Court is Likely to Uphold Presidential Immunity for Donald Trump..

A precedent has already been set for Trump to just ignore laws(immigration, Supreme Court rulings, etc) and do as his wishes and sic his DOJ on his political opponents via corrupt AGs and DTs around the country. Why stop at at one day? Oh wait, someone it is different when Biden does it.
That is your dear leader.

Oct 7, 2020 — Donald Trump mounted an overnight Twitter blitz demanding to jail his political enemies and call out allies he says are failing to arrest ...

No one is defeated by your frail fantasy. When you strip away the make believe the reality is we're watching you LARP in the park. We didn't even mention Trump. Our conversation was in general about any President hiding behind his attorney General to immunize himself from prosecution. It doesn't even apply to this case because as shady as Bill Barr was even he advised Trump against the fake electors scheme.
It's actually funny to see people who clearly haven't got the slightest idea what we were talking about claiming we are wrong.

It has to be absolutely great (or terrible) to never have a thought beyond "he's got a different political ideology so he has to be wrong." To never be bothered by nuance or ambiguity.

I envy and despise the certainty that that level of cognitive dissonance provides.

The fact is the SCOTUS has watched as Democrats weaponized the law to GET TRUMP using whatever cooked up convoluted charge they could fabricate. More than one SCOTUS justice as much as said so in oral arguments yesterday. While most of the justices slapped down the governments attorney multiple times for trying to frame this as about Trump, the justices whacked him saying no this is about all the future presidents and legal persecution by their opponents.

Dems you assholes screwed the pooch with all your lawfare.

Listen to this! See what you think. This is what he thinks likely will happen..

No they aren't. But they will delay it till after the election. Maybe

There are two possible ways the court could go. With five conservative justices seemingly laser-focused on hypothetical future dangers imposed on the presidency by the threat of criminal charges, the case appeared headed to a result that would provide another Trump another delaying tactic. But the three liberals could join Barrett and Chief Justice John Roberts, the most skeptical of the other five conservatives, and send the case back to trial with jury instructions limiting how the prosecution could use certain official acts in their case. That would allow the election interference case to go forward quickly.

I don't know where you came up with that, but you should change the channel. The Supreme Court does not issue jury instructions. That is for the trial judge.

The SCOTUS looks beyond the instant case. The decision will provide guidance to the lower courts on how to treat any criminal charge for conduct while in office- for all former Presidents, not just Trump.

Great, but speed it up. Anyone who knows what they are talking about and being honest knows this is a stall tactic. Delay, delay delay till maybe go away.

The SC is the very last thing preventing totalitarianism.
My computer controlled weapons will have something to say about it, when the time comes.

Not till then, though. Guns are not toys. And totalitarianism is a very serious matter.

It's not a stall tactic, it's a situation that has never happened before. There is no Constitutional text or case law to rely on, that would easily settle the question.

It's not the court's job to provide you with instant gratification. You see only this case, but the court has to make a ruling that reaches beyond.

Or we will be in a place where EVERY former President is subject to criminal prosecution when he leaves office, and the POTUS becomes nothing more than a ceremonial position...

Most everyone with any knowledge and insight has expected the Supreme Court to rule on political acts vs official acts in regards to presidential immunity. Where it's going is in the eye of the beholder. Where it ends up, nobody yet knows. I'm thinking of the PPACA ruling.

So if they rule immunity, the Biden can get the DOJ to imprison Trump immediately.
You are stupid and have no clue what’s going on

Go back to the plantation and let the grown ups handle this

Newsflash

Every President IS and always has been subject to prosecution if they break the law

See … Nixon

What "due process?"

Trump's claim. A claim that, funnily enough nobody serious I've seen seems to be willing to defend on merit, just on process. This includes the members of SCOTUS who avoid the specifics of this case like it has koodies. Is that a president can do whatever he wants as long as the act itself fits in the widest possible interpretation of official duties.

This speaks in my view to his believe in his own innocence. And to the absolute cult like grip he has on the GOP electorate, who have no problem with a president who flat out says he's de facto above the law
^ fuckup’s analysis is fraudulent.

The Trump application is quite simple, actually. It is nothing more than asking the SCOTUS to EXTEND the already existing and recognized Presidential immunity from CIVIL liability TO CRIMINAL prosecutions. And it rests on the very same logic as led to that civil immunity.

Furthermore, contrary to all of the dishonest libtard caterwauling about this being an alleged attempt to place Trump “above the law,” it actually does NO SUCH THING.

Not a newsflash. It’s never been tried.

In any event, your “news” [sic] flash is absolutely beside the point. The Trump application is designed to have the SCOTUS agree to extend Presidential immunity from civil liability to criminal prosecutions. So, it wouldn’t matter even if your “newsflash” had been accurate.

Are you being obtuse? I think so. Hey, I hope you hear Biden's interview on Howard Stern. What a great man. And for the record, he did work. He not only passed the bar, which is really hard, he was a lawyer for a few years. That's work. In fact he worked for rich Republicans for a minute and decided after that to go help poor people as a public defender.

“Go back to the plantation..”

Yeah. We need to hear what racists like this asshead have to say

Really
Don't you have a college campus to go to? Go show your support of the Jew killers....you are pathetic

Don't demonize the people who protest Israel's cruelty towards Palestinians. Israel's over reaction to the terrorist attack they suffered. At first we cheered as Israel went at them hard but now Israel is killing lots of civilians, being cruel, land grabbing, not letting journalists in. Everything we condemn Russia for doing in Ukraine. We need to condemn Israel too but we walk on egg shells.
