Um....just in case you failed Government in school....the U.K is not under the Constitution or our Bill of Rights. Why is it that idiots can't see that?

I must have missed where anyone claimed or implied that they were.

But that's not the point. Our Constitution was originally written, along with the Bill of Rights, more than two hundred years ago, in large part in reaction to the horrendous human rights abuses that Britain committed back then; which were a large part of our reason for having rebelled against them.

Now, more than two centuries later, as far as basic human rights, the UK still has not caught up with where we were way back then. They still commit the same abuses today that they committed back then.

Why are suicides counted in "GUN DEATHS"? Did the gun pull the trigger all by itself? Would the person end their life another way if they didn't have a gun? Probably! They do it in Japan ever day!

If you look at the West and homosexuality was illegal. Not much freedom there. South Africa and the US denied rights to black folk. No freedom there.

Go back a bit further in your history and you have the Macarthy hearings. Not much freedom there either. Overall things are better than ever.
