Bush took 4 times more vacation days than Obama

For FUCK's SAKE! Would you people knock it the fuck off already?

The President, regardless of party, is never really on "vacation." Not in this age of instant communication. It doesn't happen. Obama is at best "away from the White House." Same goes for Bush, Clinton before him, Bush Sr. before him, and probably Reagan and Carter as well.

There are more than enough real issues to argue about, the time a President spends away from the White House sure as shit isn't one of them.

Fuck. I have seen gatherings of petty political hacks before, but you people are on the verge of taking the cake...

I agree, and I don't post about presidential vacations for that reason. But liberals do tend to drone on when it's a Republican then get a stick up their butt when it's done back to them. It's actually pretty amusing how they're running around crying about Obama after the endless lame attacks on W.

Though liberal whining about the commander in chief of the military flying to an aircraft carrier was even lamer. It's a liberal gift, the ability to maximize lame.

The liberals always call on Bush as a reason for deflection to Obama's foreign and domestic policies. They know he's a failure as a leader.

and you have to love them declaring how bush took more vacations, when Obama's only been in OFFICE FOR FIVE YEARS to Bush's EIGHT

good grief

Note: "At this same point in his presidency."

Get it, dumbass?

oh ok, well that is DIFFERENT..
the people are complaining about the extravagance and the COST to TAXPAYERS FOR THEM NOT HOW MANY..

The Bush's time away was to THEIR RANCH...Not every Christmas 17 days in Hawaii, 8 dy stays at Martha's Vineyard, etc etc...but you Obamabots just keep making excuses for them

PolitiFact | Al Sharpton defends Obama family vacation, saying George W. Bush spent more time away

At this same point in his presidency Bush took 367 days of vacations vs. 92 for Obama.

Thankfully Bush took that many days, probably saved us a 3rd pointless war.

yeah yeah........a lot of people are wishing the Obama's would go on permanent vacation, give us some peace from his hate he runs around spreading in his lovely speech's

Obama seems to be doing very little, speeches I can handle. Sending our best to get killed or maimed I cannot.

Now Steph you complained about the number of these posts and cried in every one of them about 8 vs 5. In every thread it said "At this same point in his presidency" but you missed it in EVERYONE of those posts? You made the same bullshit excuse BEFORE reading it?

Basically you apologized for Bush before even knowing the argument. What is that called? Apologists? A Shill?

Their Ranch doesn't mean he wasn't on Vaca. You can say Ranch all day and it wont change the numbers.:lol:

These guys are pretending that Campaigning or Giving speeches is the worst thing someone can do

Liberal assholes trying desperately to defend Obama partying down all the time have to try to equate the times Bush was away from the White House as "some sort of vacation".

The Crawford Ranch was the Texas White House. President Bush preferred to entertain there rather than at the White House like the Obama's with all their decadent and extravagant parties.

Bush's ranch diplomacy's second home
Current trip marks president's 51st since election

CRAWFORD, Texas -- President Bush has turned his remote ranch into a stage for down-home diplomacy, where a barbecue grill and a pickup truck have become his favorite tools for dealing with world leaders.

The 1,600-acre property in central Texas is a place where aides say the president feels most comfortable and can spend more get-to-know-you time with his guests than in hurried Washington. Today, Colombian President Alvaro Uribe will be the 14th foreign leader to visit the ranch.

Bush's dog once wandered through a press conference with the Australian prime minister. The president led the Saudi crown prince by the hand through blooming bluebonnets.

And Russia's president was treated to a hoedown with cowboy cooks and a swing band.:eusa_angel:

"You only invite your friends into your house," Bush said when Russian President Vladimir Putin became the first head of state to visit in November 2001. "Occasionally, you let a salesman in, or two."

The ranch is outside Crawford, a one-stoplight town with 700 residents.

Ranch visits have been a reward, like when Bush hosted leaders from Europe, Australia and Japan who supported the war in Iraq.

He's also used ranch invitations as an enticement, like when he tried to persuade China's president to help pressure North Korea to scrap its nuclear weapons program.

Bush has used his private residence for entertaining heads of state in a manner unlike any other president in 40 years. The others have preferred to host their counterparts at the White House or the presidential retreat at Camp David.

Bush went to visit the troops, on thanks giving, heck if i was on his security i would've loved to went to show support for our great troops, but you being a liberal you cannot see the good in making our troops feel good on thanks giving while they are away from their family.

That was pretty nice of him.

It would have been nice of him to attend their funerals too.

Dude
Don't go there
Bush attended plenty of memorial services
I don't know of any president attending a average joe kia's funeral
Do you?

How many funerals has Obama attended?
How many memorial services
Bet i can count the latter on one hand
Oh he probably celebrated them

Ok so according to Repubs Bush actually took no days off. The first and only president in history to work 8 years straight. Annnnnnd His boots are made from the dragons he's slayed...yeah!

I'm trying to figure out why this is important to the Democrats, anyone with a brain knows the President can do his job anywhere in the country.

I

You mean like this

Or is Obama different? Or Repubs are different? Do over?

Obviously getting China to scrap it's nuke program worked...right?

The idea that you get invited to the US to see the President of the United States is probably one of the greatest things to happen to a visiting foreign leader. It probably would have been better to receive the foreign head of state at the official seat of power than some ranch in Crawford; at least the first time they come down.

It's much ado about nothing anytime you bring up presidential vacations. The president works hard regardless of party or skin color...grow the hell up.
