Can the democrats stop crime with gun laws?

can the democrats end meanness with "bullying" laws?

the only thing we end up with is totalitarian government.

I think it's time we stop allowing the Democrats to promote this big myth they can stop human meanness by passing laws.

I will no longer watch or listen to any media story discussing gun control.

Gun ownership is guaranteed by the Constitution.

No person's political job is guaranteed by the Constitution.

No person's police job is guaranteed by the Constitution.

The citizens right to bear arms supercedes any politician or agency who thinks they can take them away.

Gun ownership is not a law we can discuss. If someone doesn't like it, they will need to dissolve the Constitution.

I guess they will have to try something else and address the REAL issues.

Their big dream is to declare people "crazy" without any crime or trial, and take their guns away.

Sorry, can't do that.

Ask any Democrat, they'll say all Republicans are "crazy" and shouldn't own guns.

We live in a world were Elizabeth Warren is a high ranking politician, and they're going to call someone "crazy" and take away their guns?

The government is not a moral authority, especially a Socialist government who have a history of killing people at random.

The idea of gun control is obsolete.

They're going to disarm the country, then hundreds of people will die in biological attacks, and the Democrats will tell us, "yeah we'll look into that"

It's not a matter of whether by dint of one's political affiliation one can end meanness. The fact is that meanness is an aspect of bad character and good or bad character cannot be legislatively created or eliminated. There will never be a state or federal law prohibiting and defining penalties for being mean. The charge for imposing a penalty for behaving that way lies with the citizenry and whether they do or not is a matter of cultural character. parental guidance and self-help, that is, each individual's sincere efforts to be a person of better character than they were "yesterday," as it were.

Did the abolishment of slavery require tearing up the constitution? The constitution is a legal document and as such can be changed as and when the laws in it become redundant or morally indefensible.

The Constitution never created slavery, this issue was whether the Federal government had enough reach to get involved.
...something we can't understand today with politicians telling everyone what to do

I never said the constitution created slavery, I claimed it condoned it.Dred Scott v. Sandford - Wikipedia
I claimed that in order for slavery to be abolished the constitution was changed, something you asserted constitutes dissolving the constitution. I asserted that the constitution can and should be changed if the laws it protects are redundant or immoral. I think losing more then 100000 people every decade to gun violence makes unlimited access to guns immoral. And the need for an armed militia is redundant. I do not claim taking measures to stop it will eradicate gun violence. I don't even assert that all guns should be abolished. But saying that gun ownership should not be controlled because of the constitution is simply a BAD argument.

after you tackle car deaths, medical malpractice, and prescription drug deaths, then maybe we'll talk about it

They could reduce most of "the meanness" in the country if they would just shut the fuck up for a while.

I have a better "mean":

One, no laws at all.

Two, tax cuts for billionaires and tax hikes for the middle class.

Three, no healthcare.

Each one by itself is mean. Altogether, they are Satanic Evil.
