Fired 30,000 Americans and off-shored work to India...takes a lot of talent.
Didn't respond to Internet feedback that her products sucked...takes a lot of talent.
Sole strategy was to cut costs and make it look more profitable thus boosting Stock Price...takes a lot of talent.
Tell me again how good of a CEO she was.
And no bullshit; I was a software developer when she was CEO and she did NOTHING to improve the customer experience.

She made some bad decisions. I did work on the Compaq deal, and it wasn't hard to see that it was going to be extremely difficult to pull off.

We had a call with her before the deal, and she spun a yarn about all the synergies and how great it was going to be for HP. In fact, she bolted on one low margin business to another. Compare that to IBM, which sold its computer line to focus on higher margin businesses.

Others have told me of negative things when she ran sales at Lucent, though my impression was that she did well. Lucent became embroiled in an accounting scandal for stuffing the channel and was eventually sold to Alcatel.

They may be predictative for the present, but the history of polls might want to temper that assumption.
