Catholic Bishops Oppose Compromise on Birth-Control

This is good for the president. It puts him on the right side of the issue at every level,

birth control in general, making birth control available, and being the one willing to compromise vs. some scary extremists in the bowels of the Catholic church hierarchy.

This might have worked.... if it was gonna fly... but the Catholic Church is not considered 'extremist' by rational people... and he cannot condemn the whole of the Christian Churches across the USA. Because they have backing of the other faiths in this.

But please do keep clutching at that straw... seriously... it might save you from drowning.

You're not even in the US, what the fuck would you know what people think about this?

I doubt the religious views of the Catholic Church she is referring to, are really all that different outside the United States. Last I checked the christian faith is still pretty much a universal religion. Is that really all that difficult to get a grasp on and understand?

I don't understand this either, except to say this is the just an example of Federal "Big" Government flexing it's arm to see how far they can get into dictating what everyone else ought to do or support. If your views don't happen to agree with this new form of Obamacare it doesn't really matter, Government feels they have a right to enforce THEIR views on the rights of every American's value of beliefs. Had Government (under a pro-life president) dictated that abortions would no longer be covered in women's health care under the administrations belief the unborn ought to have constitutional rights as well, that we should all compromise on this, I'm sure the outcry would be from the left demanding their position be recognized and upheld.

What about the women who are hired by either the colleges or by the hospitals to work there who doesn't have Catholic beliefs, and therefor thinks that birth control is okay?

Is it fair for the Catholic church to force their workers to share their beliefs?

 I love that you whine about my posts... and the repeat crap that has been pointed out hundreds of times already in this hyperbolic bullshit.... and that is.... absolutely no one is 'forced' to work for the Church.

If they have an issue with insurance policies provided by the Church, they are welcome to seek employment elsewhere.

Do less drugs, give your brain some time off... you might see a small, yet significant improvement in your cognitive abilities. It's worth a try.

"whine about YOUR posts"? Seriously?

The only reason you're on this post is because your oversized ego thought that you needed more attention, fuck............I wasn't even talking to or about you.

But then again, what else should I expect from a one trick pony such as yourself?

And any righty that says poor people who can't afford to have kids should not have sex can go fuck themselves. Look at Africa. We see when people have nothing, they fuck more, not less. Nothing else to do.

I think republicans love the idea of poor people because they can exploit them in so many ways. Their cheap labor and fight their wars.

Are all of your statements, full of shit like this one?

Who have been the most outspoken against women's reproductive health lately? White men. We even have a candidate who seems to maybe into making women keep the baby of their rapist. So yes I have a problem with white men right now, they seem to have a problem with me.
OK RDEAN, what the fuck does black and white have to do with it? Come in here a day late and throw the fucking race card, are you fucking kidding me? Damn luissa I thought you were smarter than that.

I have little doubt that there are many catholic women who use birth control and have even had abortions. That doesn't mean that the church should change what it preaches. And it doesn't mean that the government should force it to break its doctrine.
I personally don't think the catholic church should discriminate against their women employees. Are they threatening to stop covering health care costs that only directly apply to men?

But YOU are for Obama and the Government burning the Constitution in the meantime.

For that discrimination to be true the church would have to be buying the men condoms.

Another whack job that can be dismissed.

They cover Viagra, that is close enough for me. I wonder what else they cover? Vasectomies? One should look into that.

What would be the ruling if the church allows Viagra for the males?

Some women use birth control as a form of hormone therapy to stay healthy.

I don't sugarcoat the fact that the GOP is anti middle class and poor. They have been fighting the middle class since the inception of Unions and since FDR and the New Deal.

Actually the rich have been trying to take over this country since the Revolution. Our founding fathers warned us, but today righties don't talk about that.

Anyways, not that the Democrats are perfect, because you can't be perfect and be a politician. You have to work with the lobbyists too. But the Democratic party is the only party that advocates at all for the middle class. The GOP has proven themselves to be the party for the top 1% ONLY. If you are in the top 1%, or even top 10%, good for you. The rest of us need to vote Democratic this November.

Exactly... I had to go on a certain birth control to regulate my hormones after I had my son, had nothing to do with me having sex. For one, my hormones were so bad I didn't want anything to do with sex...

Its amazing instead of right wingers insisting that the insurance companies offer us/them more services, the insurance companies and corporate media got these right wingers arguing for the insurance companies. I guess right wingers don't fuck or use birth control.

Why should the insurance company cover birth control? Besides it is preventative medicine that saves us all money in the long run? Because we pay them a shit load of money every year.

Of course the same people who are against this want to shut down PP, where the women would likely go if they can not get birth control thru their own health insurance.
Yep, the GOP love women.

Are you such a cheap bastard you can not afford that 30 dollars a month? They can afford the premium but not the script. BS

Most insurance plans cover Viagra and vasectomies. ;) pretty easy to figure that out. And I haven't heard anyone saying they will block the coverage of vasectomies.
But I will look into later, sitting at the train station posting from my phone. ;) l
