I just watched Trump's speech. To summarize, America is already great.

People automatically feel uplifted and patriotic with the music and images of patriots and heroism. Its the same feeling you get when you are wrapped up in a great movie and rooting for the hero to win. You get swept up in it.

All in all, the first part was fantastic, and talked about American exceptionalism, and our overcoming darker parts of our past. It sounded methodical and like classic Veterans Day stuff. Overall, there was nothing to censor or wet your pants over.
