Census Estimates Show California, New York Losing House Seats to Demographic Change

No big deal, CA loses 2-seats, NY loses 1-seat, Texas gains 2-seats, and FL and AZ each gain a seat. The 2020 reapportionment will be the smallest in a long time. CA would still have 53 seats, down from 55, and TX would have 38 seats up from 36. Not earth shattering.

Someone doesn't know what Socialism is.

Pffftt... everybody has a different definition these days, it's become a completely meaningless word just like "liberal" and "conservative".

I go by the real definitions of politics.
- Socialism equates to controlling the means of production & distribution.
- Right Wing equates to Tradition & Hierarchy.
- Left Wing equates to Capitalist Republics & Democracy.
- Liberalism equates to deregulation & Laissez Faire (Capitalism) and rights.

Wow, and just a couple weeks ago there was a thread 500 replies long telling us how Cali was going to gain 23 seats!
You're joking, right? Nobody could seriously think that California was going to add another what? 17 million+ people since 2010?

I was slightly off on how many it said Cali was getting, I apologize. That was the total that was supposedly going to be lost. It was only 11 gained for Cali. But the jist is the same.

Apparently you're one of the few remaining people that does, BTW socialism is primarily an economic system.

.. and of course you have umpteen modified versions of socialism, Democratic Socialism, Market Socialism, Libertarian Socialism, etc..,etc.., all designed to confuse the audience and make authoritarian collectivism sound more palatable.

Wow, thanks... 11 is still crazy when you have approximately 747,000 per seat, that would be some SERIOUS migration....

I think that was more about the seats they "gain" due to having a high population of illegal immigrants.

I think you are wrong...here is the title...
2020 census: 'Surge' in immigrants to take 24 House seats from Trump states

I think that California and New York shouldn't be allowed to vote at all.

Weird, beggars are always willing to bust their asses to spin socialism as something glamorous....meanwhile anybody legitimate knows it means “forced public investment in pieces of shits”.

If you look at the table, it's based on removal of immigration influenced seats on the distribution.

Considering the Census hasn't happened yet we don't know the actual changes.

Which shows the stupidity of the thread...which was my whole point.

Especially in light of this thread.

If you missed a day of work in Stalin's extreme Socialist nation, you'd end up in a GULAG most likely.

Stalin also deported the most people in all of history.

Stalin made Abortion illegal, Criminalized LGBTQ,

How little you people know about Socialism is astounding.
