All Trump would have had to do was say ' I honor the sacrifice that the Khan family has made for this nation, and I sympathize with them for their loss. If I thought that all Muslims that enter this nation would be of their quality, I would have no objections'. Instead, he chose to attack them in such a manner that the VFW, a great many Republicans that have served, and the general public have repudiated his remarks.
