Closing or Blocking Pipelines

Why do we allow on ounce of the oil in the pipelines to leave our shores?
There is different quality levels of oil. We receive a better quality in the amount needed for us from overseas. We still produce good quality oil. We send lesser quality overseas. Whatever the reasons, there is enough in production to keep the costs lower then when we play games like Biden is doing.

Some one explain how a different president changes the price of gas? 30 cent rise in gas to the area where you live. over the last month? what does that mean? the price of gas has gone up and down Forever.

How does oil or gas get transported if pipeline infrastructure gets closed, blocked, or otherwise sabotaged by our government? Is alternative transport cleaner than pipelines?

Now it isn't. But Buffet owns the trains that will be hauling that oil across the US, and he gives big bucks to the Democrat party at election time.

Do you think they will stop hauling it by rail? Has any one pledged to stop the trains? I'm all for the refiners working a full capacity on the Gulf Coast, but lets not fool ourselves, They want to increase export to the US by giving Alberta tar a more direct route
No one has ever moved such useless oil product anywhere. There are no spills or transport systems to look at with any substantive data.

It's been transported to the US for years and years.

Not at any scale

Because it's basically fucking useless

The profit margins will never justify the risks to the water table where it's being transported through.

Not at any scale

Bullshit.
They export over 2 millions barrels a day to the US.

Where are you getting this number from?

2 mil a day lol

2 million in hollistic oil products maybe. Not 2 million barrels of fucking sand tar you dumb fuck

Closer to 4 million + barrel a day to the USA. Last data was Nov. 2020. 128 million barrels that month.

It means that the signals Biden was sending the major oil producers like the Saudis changed relative to Trump

Trump no doubt told them to keep it cheap

Biden probably didn't tell them to do anything, he might have been dumb enough to voice a request for higher prices but i doubt it.

We don't export crude oil.

LOLOL.. Trump didn't tell the Saudis to keep the ppb low. Demand has been down for a year world wide because of Covid. KSA doesn't sell much oil to the US for the past 15 years or so. Their big markets are in Asia and Europe.

Good source.

Your stupidity is neverending

Actually, a major oil spill would be a blessing to the new administration. They're praying for one.

An excuse to introduce pre-written legislation that will further cripple the American oil industry and give celebrities a photo op on oily beaches.

All oil spills are horrible, but its much easier to clean up a spill in the ocean than in creeks and rivers.

It's going to go across this country one way or another. Why would slow Joe want to stop it from being hauled by railroad? Democrats scratch each others back.

Future bargaining chips. Along with the leasing on Federal lands.

It's simple really. What sets the price of oil is the commodities market. When investors see trouble, they buy long contracts. When those contracts are bought, the price of fuel goes up. Investors base their investment decisions on what the news of a particular commodity is. We heard Biden say he'd get rid of fracking. We heard Whorris say is she were elected President, she'd ban all fracking in the US her first day in office. It's no secret that the Democrats are anti-fuel and always have been.

So if you're are trading contracts with all this news, where would you lay your money? I know where mine would go. After all, if you buy a long contract, every dollar a barrel of oil goes up, you make $1,000. Slow Joe ending the Keystone is proof plenty that the Democrats mean what they say. And now that they have total control over our federal government, look for those commodity people to be ready to cash in on our economic torture by this administration.

Fresh water is more important. Most of the ocean spills, unless they are in a major port or harbor, sink to the bottom or evaporate off from the surface. A small amount is skimmed off or emulsified.

" The same way we transported the over 3 million barrels we imported from Canada yesterday! No working pipeline has been shut down or 'sabotaged' by our government. Do you think we should?"

You seem to think that some operating pipeline has been closed.

The Saudis take the long view... They are always courteous to US presidents... but they knew Trump was a jackass.

Not closed but not running to capacity.
