In being on this forum a few years now, I've noted that most of the total idiots are on the Left. But over time I've been surprised that some conservatives I thought were fairly intelligent and reasonable people go off into deep end just as badly with loony conspiracy theory about the Moon being hollow or even shooting a victim not just until they are subdued and helpless, not even stopping after they are down, but even continue firing into the person until they totally stop MOVING.

Let me start spraying you with 9mm fire and see if you just lay there unmoving not reacting to the pain or trying to protect yourself. If it is a .45, you might still move just from the hydrostatic shock.

BOTTOM LINE: Many on the Left ARE communist and socialist sympathizers who want anarchy and hate their country, but there are enough on the Left that are real bloodthirsty violent Neocons as well. I've even been stalked by a few.

For progressives, there is no opposing opinion worthy of respectful disagreement. Such heresies must be eliminated, and the people who hold them silenced.

That has been my biggest problem with Leftists, not so much their views as their incessant attempts at mocking any view differing from their own and ridiculing the person making it as if they were Jethro Bodine rather than the topic itself. Part of the problem is that we have radicals and reactionaries who are passing themselves as liberals and conservatives. If you embrace tribalism and feel it’s necessary to demonize the opposition, you are an extremist. People like this have no interest in listening or engaging in discourse.

There is clearly an agenda to destroy Trump. The Left cannot deny it. It's true, the guy has a lot of stains on his past and character, he deserves a lot of the criticism for things he says, claims he makes, words he mixes up, etc., and there have been many times I've winced and wondered why he's said and done certain things, but for the most part, he's been a good president, far better than Obama, I remind myself this guy is not a practiced politician, and one can only wonder what he might have accomplished so far if he only had half his party and any of the democrats actually being at all fair and reasonable in supporting, behind him and going along with him.

This goes back to tribalism. We have two examples of why this flame throwing contest will go on till the end of his Presidency.

We those who will denigrate President Trump and vilify him and his family. We also have the Trump myrmidons who will not criticize him on any level. When too many people follow one of those camps, we should not be surprised when every discussion becomes a Donnybrook.

The other group caught in the middle get castigated for being mugwumps or fence sitters. It speaks volumes when being deliberate and less partisan is met with by virulent diatribes.

There is a difference between instigators here and there and systemic attempts to end all debate on certain topics.

I have to disagree. Eagle has a POINT. It IS a war. It was started a long time ago by the Left. They have gone full out bonkers attacking evertythimng from GW Bush, to Trump, Guns, Christianity, American and Family Values, worst of all, they usually don't even use valid, legitimate points in their defense, they MAKE STUFF UP, blatantly LIE, in order to support their position. Outright unreasonable. The character assassination of Trump has been beyond the pale. They boycotted yesterdays 4th celebration; had that been Obama, it would have been on every channel.

SO LET'S BE REAL:

• The war on the Left has been an offensive one.
• The war on the Right has mainly been a DEFENSIVE one.

The Left is trying to overcome and eliminate. The Right is merely trying to survive.

No, I've run into a few people here that had valid views on many conservative issues then proved to be absolute LOONS, others that BRAGGED about what great "conservatives" they were then showed they were flaming buttholes. Worst of all, often simply over differences of viewpoint or opinion.

It made me realize its NO WONDER why many on the Left think so poorly of the Right.
