SAT scores are one of the gatekeeper measures. Above a minimum, they may continue looking at the application to see that other stuff. Below that criteria, the application goes in the trash unless some distinguishing factor pushes the application to the front of the pile (even if that means ahead of more deserving applicants).

First I completely disagree with 90% of David Hogg is selling. Secondly after being the parent of 3 that have been through this process I’m find it good that he has found a school he is content with. I don’t quite get how UCLA, and three U of Cal schools reject him and Harvard accepts him, and I’m not buying the in state, out of state, criteria stuff. Was he thought to be to toxic at that point in time?
