Why are you posting a link to Ireland's EPA? That's pretty bizarre.

Fair enough maybe this will work better

EPA works to ensure that:
  • Americans have clean air, land and water;
  • National efforts to reduce environmental risks are based on the best available scientific information;
  • Federal laws protecting human health and the environment are administered and enforced fairly, effectively and as Congress intended;
  • Environmental stewardship is integral to U.S. policies concerning natural resources, human health, economic growth, energy, transportation, agriculture, industry, and international trade, and these factors are similarly considered in establishing environmental policy;
  • All parts of society--communities, individuals, businesses, and state, local and tribal governments--have access to accurate information sufficient to effectively participate in managing human health and environmental risks;
  • Contaminated lands and toxic sites are cleaned up by potentially responsible parties and revitalized; and
  • Chemicals in the marketplace are reviewed for safety.
Happy now asswipe

Looks about like deer that have been dead for a few weeks given that the eyes have shrank back into their skulls.

I think it's reasonable to say that they died within a few days of the spill.

Hopefully OH's Division of Wildlife will have them checked-out for cause of death.
The spill was a month ago, wouldn't they be a in worse state of decomposition?

You fucked up and then call me names for noticing? If the EPA itself is cleaning up the site of an industrial accent it's only after the company responsible is out of business and no one can be found to pay up. That may be what happens in the future but right now all they do is make an assessment of what is contaminated and with what and hold the company's feet to the fire.

If the EPA is responsible for safe land, air and water. And they say the water is safe to drink and the land/air is safe yet 45k animals are dying in a radius around EP then don't you think the EPA is putting out info that is going to make a lot of people sick/dead? That they are also responsible?

Wanna make a bet on cancer rates in the area skyrocketing?

Why oh why won't Biden come in and save the rail company from the consequences of their negligence?
I have no idea how deep NS railroad pockets may be but if this spill has compromised the water source that 30 million Americans rely on, they might as well hand over their assets to DC.

That may be but like a good little proponent of corporate socialism you just can't wait for the day the government comes and bails out Norfolk Southern. They are very a profitable company, they have the money to fix this. If you think it's going too slow point your finger in that direction.

Show me where I said the government should bail out NS. I will wait

Isn't there a Secretary of Transpotation who's in charge? ... and why did Ohio allow the toxic material to be burned? ...
According to their experts, the decision to vent and burn the chemicals was judged to be the lesser of two evils. Those tanks were highly volatile/explosive and had that occurred, the pure form of the chemicals would have soaked the ground and water over a 5 mile area. They decided that less harm would be done by dumping the airborne particulate matter that would come from the burning of the chemicals.
