Debt Ceiling Pool

How long till the GOP agrees to the debt ceiling increase?

  • Total voters
    14
  • Poll closed .
The last president had to rebuild from the Obama train wreck.... Biden has fucked everything up.... take a look around biden voter and see what you have helped to cause... all the homeless shut down businesses and poverty... all on morons like you that have lifetime TDS.....
What precisely was the Obama train wreck? Specifics?

If only you have given a shit about the debt under the last POTUS you might have some credibility in this area.

But as it is you have post whining about the debt ceiling during the Obama years and are totally silent on it during the Trump years and now you care again.

Weird
They have no skin in this game over the debt.

This 2023 argument isn't about Trump, its about SPENDING.
Republicans want to cut spending, and the democrats are whining like stuck pigs.
SS will be insolvent in 2034, and Medicare will be bankrupt in 2024. So the DC clowns had better get busy.

For the record I was always against tax cuts and always for a Balanced Budget.
Raising the debt limit isn't about spending either. The two have nothing to do with each other.

I think the Republicans will band together and refuse to raise the debt ceiling

But after the Stock Market crashes and their wealthy patrons revolt, their resolve will crack. It always does

I give it till February
The pyscho stupid caucus does not know what the debt ceiling actually is.

It's a stupid thing to take a stand on. They always look bad, and then the Federal workers who they shut down end up getting back pay for the week they were out of work. I'd rather they just keep working.
This is really just how stupid they are.

Fourteenth Amendment, Section Four:

Section 4 Public Debt

The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

You do understand what happens with forever don't you? Anarchy! You still want "forever?"
That is exactly what his kind want. They want to go back to the 18th century or before and hate seeing America being a world power. This is the cold truth of these people....

They have no idea that they would starve without a functioning government. Goods and services would end. Roads and bridges would collapse. Other countries would simply take over. These Trump Gargoyles have the brains the size of a grasshopper.

Yeah, the conservative country folk would starve and not know what to do without the government. 🙄

I think you have it exactly backwards as to who would survive and who wouldn’t.

Was that how McCarthy won the nomination?

:auiqs.jpg:

If McCarthy thought he had the votes, he wouldn’t be talking about sitting down with the President. The majority of Republicans have already told him if he thinks for a minute they’re going along with the GQP Clown Caucus, he is sadly mistaken.

This isn’t 2011.

The white house refuses to work with republicans over the debt limit... so if the government has to shut down it will be Biden's fault....
