Because civillans are being killed...Ukraine should relinquish it's right to defend itself.
Saving lives is more important than the right to self defense.
Also...because Russia is using it's military aggressively and offensively to kill it's neighbors and rob them of their land...it is obvious from this that the US military should unilaterally disarm.
From a gun haters perspective, this should make perfect sense.
