House impeachment managers sent a letter to Donald Trump strongly suggesting the former president testify at the Senate impeachment trial.​

Why should he? Impeachment is use to remove a sitting politician from office, Trump is no longer in office. so impeachment is out of the question and congress can not try a citizen who is not in office.
