He didn't send a pic of his penis to an underage girl, I already provided a link stating that. She was 21. Nothing indecent happened with the 17 year old which was backed up by her, her parents, and the Police.
And I don't plan on voting for him, I don't live in NYC.

That wasn't your argument. Your argument was that his moral depravity caused the fall of the Roman Empire. It didn't.

Yeah, he was a little whacked, which really sucked if you were one of the rich assholes whose wife or money he wanted. (OH, my God, people who made their wealth off of SLAVES were in danger. The HORROR!)

But for the average citizen of the empire, the fronteirs were defended, infrastructure was built, the provinces were well managed, the Roman Bureaucracy continued on its way.

And the system was even somewhat self-correcting. When it became clear Caligula was nuts, he was removed from office and replaced with the less crazy Claudius.

Rome went on to have a pretty awesome moment in history.

And then flash forward, where Constantine put the very moral "Christian" faith in charge. No more orgies or gladitorial games. Boo. Hoo.

Oh, wait, they also lost all that infrastructure, knowledge, barbarians overran the empire. People went round killing each other over such weighty issues of whether Jesus existed before he was born.
