Regardless, republicans are not the borg from Star Trek. They don't all support the same positions. A sign that they sometimes the ability to challenge their own ideas, dogmas, and taboos. Unlike the Democrat hopefuls, who are either progressive far leftists or corporate neo-liberals, spewing the same message they have been since the 90's.
As for infanticide, New York's latest Reproductive Health Act certainly qualifies. It allows for abortions after 24 weeks, which obstetricians and medical doctors in general acknowledge, by an overwhelming consensus, as the definite beginning of a baby's metacognitive capacitance to feel pain. (The fetus may feel pain even earlier than that, but it's not a settled issue.) It is after 24 weeks the cerebral cortex(the pain center of the brain) begins to operate in unison with the body's pain receptors, and as there's no magical barrier geographically located within your uterus that takes away a baby's awareness of pain, it basically is infanticide.
It's silly to argue otherwise from a biological standpoint, regardless of what Roe V. Wade says. Anti-science positions are always more tolerable though, when they're self indulgent. People can be vain stupid creatures. Especially those who get abortions and think they're morally justifiable.
