The permission evidently came from a D.C. police official who informed the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

How much time and money is going to be spent (wasted) investigating him? Can you think of a sillier use of investigative resources?

So I can't speak for her, but I can repeat what I just posted that flew over the cuckoo's nest: I haven't opined about gun control, laws or otherwise, except to the extent of noting that such laws, new or existing, would not be enough to address gun violence by themselves. That's it.

Laws are enforced of course, but that's a given. Otherwise what's the point of having laws?
