Do I understand right?

That is not the fact. He can run as a felon.

Oddly, he can't vote for himself (or anyone else) as a felon.

TRUMP can vote. You people just suck up whatever the MSM spews.

According to the Florida Department of State’s website, for felonies other than murder or sexual offenses, “[a] felony conviction in another state makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida only if the conviction would make the person ineligible to vote in the state where the person was convicted.” Trump’s conviction is in New York, and New York law says that felons cannot vote while they are incarcerated, but does restore the right to vote upon release, even if they are on parole or other post-release probationary supervision.

NY needs to quickly change their laws. LOL

Yes, Trump can be president.

We have an oddly short list of qualifications for the top job.

1) Must be a natural born citizen
2) Be 35 years old or older.
3) Been living in the US for 14 years.

In America you cannot run for office if you are a felon? So Trump cannot run now?
He most certainly can run as a felon. There is no law, constitutional or otherwise preventing that.
However, if he is sentenced to prison time and then loses his appeal(s)..well, THEN he can't run...assuming we aren't all collecting Social Security by then.

it will be argued that the conditions of article 2 (age 35 and "natural born citizen" ) do not include a felony condition. therefore trump can run.
Lyndon Larouche ran his Presidential campaign from a prison cell ... if Trump tried that ...

... he'd win ...

i had forgotten larouche. another cult leader.

green candidates ralph nader and jill stein have each been arrested for "tresspassing" by attending debates as spectators.

dr stein was arrested again this year at a pro gaza camp

the only thing different abput trump is that he is a repub.

Still hasn't paid his fines and judgements, and he may be imprisoned, we don't know yet.
