Do People who retire in foreign countries still get to vote in American elections?

Awwww…..you’re complaining that we want to disenfranchise “Americans” who have rejected the country and decided to live out their lives elsewhere?

Because someone found somewhere they enjoy living out their retirement does not mean they have rejected their country.

A friend of mine has a place in Nicaragua. It's right on the ocean. It's a very, very, beautiful place. It was very cheap. If one wanted to live out retirement in a place like that, many could not affordably do so in the U.S.

For quite a few years he would spend winters there. I can't blame him.

By contributing, and paying taxes there. Ones interests aren't solely dictated by their immediate geographical location.

Your residency is determined by your immediate geographical location

But they won't be a resident of the country anymore. Heck, they may not even have any intention of ever coming back, not even for a simple visit.

God bless you always!!!
