...wouldn't wreck the deficit? It's because they are counting on their base being too stupid to know that all of their tax plans would.

They want to cut the hell out of infrastructure, science, r&d and education. Fuck the American people!!! Let's give some more tax cuts to the rich and bomb iran!!!!

Their tax plan would have this country looking more like Somalia.

Hmmmm, right, and all the promises Hillary has made wouldn't ad a cent to the deficit.

You're an idiot.
I don't even want Hillary as president, but she is sure as hell a much better choice than the scumbags running as republicans.

Perhaps you can do a side by side comparison. Or just spell "add" correctly.

Why would I waste my time? anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows Hillary will explode the deficit, just like Obama. Cutting spending isn't in their vocabulary.

They're all better than her, except for Kasich.

To show that for once you know what you're talking about? Why, indeed.

FYI, every major tax cut over the last 100 years has been followed by a substantial increase in federal revenue.

For example, the 2003 tax cuts were followed by a record-setting rise in federal revenue, going from $1.78 trillion in 2003 to $2.56 trillion in 2007, an increase of $778 billion. By comparison, Clinton's best 4 years of revenue saw revenue rise by $552 billion.

Can any liberal explain how all the Democrats plans of tax the rich more while spending even more won't increase the deficit?

That increase is in raw dollars. That isn't how you properly measure revenue. Inflation and the size of the economy must be taken into account. It must be computed as a percentage of GDP. Right now that is 16% which is near the historic low.

Are you kidding me? Taxing is how the government pays its bills. If the spending is coupled with an adequate tax policy, the deficit won't go up. Theres a huge difference between spending and over spending.

The problem your ignoring is that Democrats overspend so do Republicans but not at rate Democrats do. This silly argument over Republicans Democrats spending and the deficit is like saying it's better to get shot with five bullets instead of six.

Reforming the tax code is a complex thing. 90 seconds is not enough to explain it. But those candidates who talked about tax reform said to go to their web sites to learn more.

I bet you didn't do that, did you. You came here instead like a tard and said they didn't explain their plans.

They keep telling us how they want to cut spending, but they never have an answer as to what they will cut and how much. The reason for this is that they know they really cannot cut any spending. This has been the problem from the beginning. We need a certain amount of revenue to properly run all facets of the federal government. Over the past 60 years or so, that has been around 20% of GDP. Knowing this, Republicans and cons still insist that we can cut taxes and that will help to increase revenues, which it will not, but that is their silly argument. Then when they do cut taxes, as in the Bush tax cuts, revenues plummet and deficits soar along with the debt. We cannot run the government on 15% revenues. We need 18.5% to 20%. On the flipside, Dems need to stop believing that adding on more and more programs is always the answer, because it isn't always. There is such a thing as good spending and bad spending. Unfortunately, we tend to get more bad than we need.

I have not yet seen a Republican's tax plan that would not reduce revenues and increase our debt. Flat taxes and fair taxes just don't bring in enough revenue. That is the bottom line. Carson thinks a flat tax of around 15% would be enough. Really? Do the math. It doesn't add up.
