Does anyone actually think that Donald Trump would make a good President?

The sad truth is capitalism needs ditch diggers

shows how stupid a liberal is- right? In the beginning 97% of Americans were ditch digging farmers and now after 200 years of capitalism only 3% are framers , and, they are framers with huge equipment so do almost no ditch digging by hand!!
Shows how dumb conservatives are, or at least you because the term "ditch diggers" means the low pay physical labor jobs. I don't actually mean ditch diggers.

This is why you can't talk to cons. They hear what they want to hear and are hell-a-stupid.

Yes, FDR's brand of Socialism helped accomplish that.

No. FDRs brand of Socialism nearly got him booted out of office after one term. It wasn't until he eased regulations on banking and finance, coupled with WWII, that he began to enjoy a rebounding economy. Some economists actually claim that FDRs policies prolonged the Great Depression and if it hadn't been for those policies it might never have been known as the "Great" depression.

Just like the Republicans have a different spin on what happened in 2007 you have a different spin on what happened back then too I see

I agree to disagree; it sounds like the Right's, abridged version of events. In any case, you admit it was the virtual communism of our wartime economy that ended the Great Depression.

The AAA established an important and long-lasting federal role in the planning on the entire agricultural sector of the economy and was the first program on such a scale on behalf of the troubled agricultural economy--Source: New Deal - Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Nothing abridged, I just don't get my history from Wikipedia. I didn't admit or even speak of "virtual communism" in my comments, I have no idea what you're talking about. You attempted to credit 200+ years of Capitalist progress to the Socialist policies of FDR when those policies nearly tanked us and everybody who has studied history knows this.

There's been a lot of Trump support recently on the boards, but it's almost always been couched in anti-liberal rhetoric - along the lines of "I like Trump because he makes liberals upset". I have yet to see anyone put there cards on the table and publicly state that they think he would be a good President.

So here we go. Let's here some positive things about Donald Trump from the resident supporters.

What qualities does Donald Trump have that would make him a good President?

You vainly assume this is just about pissing off liberals. Trump is challenging the phony GOP leadership that walks lock-step together. I personally doubt that Trump will even run. He does this every four years. He pretends he's a candidate and then never even makes it to a primary. Trump has his own agenda, no doubt. But just cos he's savvy enough to cut himself a piece of the pie is no reason to dismiss him. He says what most people in this country are too cowardly to say.

Regulations and to a huge extent the public sector built the country of the 40s through 70's. Reagans deregulations and idiocy destroyed our middle class.

your version of history is sadly very wrong. But tell us Matty boy, where does the money that the public sector spends come from?

Exactly, What Trump is doing is shaking up both parties and forcing the candidates to address the real problems that all americans can see. He is provideing a much needed threat to both parties.

However, if he runs as a third party, he will help elect the hildebeast.

You're overthinking it. This isn't about quality or even policy. Its about feeling. He's the emotional choice. You'll only fuck it up if you start injecting useless criteria like qualification or whether or not he'd actually be good at the job.

Don't ruin this for me!
Like Hillary isn't the emotional choice for liberals who decided they just had to elect their first black president, and now want their first woman one. Yeah, she's really qualified.

And yet with zero executive experience, zero military experience, and no relevant qualifications or experience....Trump is the front runner in the GOP.

Either qualifications matter to you, Trump fails the qualification standard and your critique of Obama and to a lesser extent Hillary are consistent. Or qualifications don't matter to you, Trump's qualifications are irrelevant, and your criticism of Obama and Hillary are gloriously hypocritical.

As you genuinely don't give a shit.

Pick one, recognizing it will apply to everyone.

He'll help the democratic candidate whichever party he represents. Unless that party is the democrats.

Recessions and Depression have to run their course but that course can be made easier. The great depression and recession both had excesses in the economy that had to be shaken out. Economic stimulus whether under Democrats or Republicans always has two aims to lessen the blow to the people and stimulate a rapid recovery. The former is relatively easily to accomplished the latter is not. There is certainly evidence in the boom and bust economy prior the great depression that doing nothing and allowing the economy to free fall with no intervention leads to sharper recoveries. The questions is whether the nation will tolerate the human suffering of such an environment. The answer seems to be no.

dear too stupid liberal, there was no sharp recovery, the Great Depression lingered on for 16 years, but that did not stop liberals from thinking that FDR was great with the economy!!

Now do you understand the intellectual depravity on the left?

I don't understand your logic. All three people are "qualified" to be president, (if you don't consider Obama's lack of a birth certificate). The Constitution lays out the qualifications very clearly. All three people have "experience" at something. Most of Obama's is in community organizing and being a politician.... and golf! Hillary has built a resume of experience dodging subpoenas and obstructing justice. Trump's experience is making winners out of losers.

I find it quite ironic that you are chastising Trump for not having military experience... would you like to disclose your glorious Messiah-in-Chief's military record for us? That's right... Zippola! Oh okay, well let's look at Billary's military records? What? Nothing there either? Wow... and you have the audacity to raise this issue with Trump or ANYONE?

Reagans deregulations and idiocy destroyed our middle class.

100% stupid and liberal of course. Japan had just started importing cars then. And China was no where to be seen.

See why we are positive that liberalism is based in pure ignorance? What other conclusion is possible?

Not to mention this:
families-600x406.jpg

As we can see... Middle income families HAVE been on the decline since 1967... Oh my! Maybe the Liberals are RIGHT? *GASP*

Except... the Lower-income families are ALSO declining! So the middle-incomers are not going there! Hmmmm... where are they all going? The graph is clear, they are becoming part of the upper-income group. So when a Socialist laments on how the middle class in America has been destroyed, just whip out this graph and show them what has happened to the middle class.
