I have. And more importantly, according to the middle class the two biggest problems facing them today are wages and the economy. The ONLY party addressing either or both are Democrats.

This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

Your perception seems warped. Not that what you believe is warped, but that you believe people who have another idea are less than human? That is not letting the sun shine in. That is not going to get us out of the morass we are currently in.

Funny thing was; When he was Governor of California, he signed the most significant consumer rights laws in the nation, which for the most part are still in effect. That, of course, was before the ideology change when Republicans were the 'left.'


THe REpublicans were NOT the Left at any time since WWII, at least.

There is agreement that the division into 'right' and 'left' is more than can be accepted. Dividing instead into another binary mode is a distinction without a difference, and, so, to be equally eschewed. Eclecticism, choosing what works, is to be preferred, and that, by definition, means being flexible and responsive, not decided and dead.

Eclecticism, or pragmatism, is always the best course of action, rejecting political dogma and partisan bias, and instead implementing policies and measures based on facts, evidence, and what’s proven to work, selecting the best of what all political and economic doctrines have to offer.

The best economy ever for the middle class was 1956 do to the Union supporting Republicans.

The 'left' supports people, the 'right' supports business and the rich.

Reducing the labor pool by deporting illegals, and limiting immigrant, especially work visas, will reduce supply and drive up price, ie wages.

ESPECIALLY in the context of Trade POlicy designed to bring back manufacturing jobs, which will be better paying jobs for the working and middle class AND additional jobs, ie demand for labor, also driving up wages.


Higher wages leads to increased consumer demand, and with more domestic production, some of that demand will put money BACK into the US economy.


Ta Da, a number of self reinforcing positive cycles.
