Does slavery exist in any part of America at all anymore?

It is not my personal delirium at all!
I am concerned about the state of discrimination in America these days, especially in light of certain tragedies involving young African American males, people that our future may depend on, people who could cure cancer, or help end world hunger, or prevent celebrities like Justin Bieber from rising to fame. It is for this reason that I ask if slavery is at all prevalent, with so much racism and racial confusion still prevalent today.
Modern slavery is an issue we try to ignore nowadays...

Yes the far left has created what we know now as political slavery!

Is slavery existing anywhere in America right now? Yes............one place I can point to is New York City and their nail salons. Most of the people working there are undocumented, and, before they can start earning money, they have to pay a 200 dollar "training fee", and then when they do start earning money, it's at around 3.00/day.

MSNBC has run several stories about this.

Yes it exits, in porn, among Third World Immigrants, and with occasional pervs and cultists.

The most insidious form of slavery today is the mental slavery the Democrats trap African-Americans in, through dependency and bullshit public education.

Agreed. The Democrats have quite a system to keep blacks down, and force them to vote Democrat to get handouts to survive, since Democrats don't believe in them having the advantages like decent schools, a stable family life, and rewards for trying to get ahead that other people have.

MSNBC has haphazardly branded about the term slavery (particularly sex slavery) to sell their hack shows.

I think slavery exists in a lot of the Middle East. Women are effectively owned; especially in Saudi Arabia; and our politicians buddy up to them all day long. So, we may not have slavery in America; but we do facilitate it globally. Same goes for the sweat shops in China.

Well..............if you'd seen what the conditions are for those women who work there, you'd understand.

In the case of the nail salons, slavery isn't too extreme a word.

Nor is it the sax slavery trade, but it seems that you are mad that your nail salons are not cheap enough..

I'm a male living in Amarillo TX, so going to a NYC nail salon isn't an issue for me.

However................I find it deplorable that these women are being treated badly and living in squalid conditions.

I'd be just as happy if those salons who treat their workers badly were shut down.

Actually, yes.....sex trafficking of both American girls and women from foriegn countries exists here...but all over the world as well....

Slavery as you are referring to it...is still in the muslim world......

Yes many males also get their malls done, don't be shy!

I brought up the sex slave trade which is far more on the deplorable list than nail salons not being cheap enough for you.

I would be more interested in shutting down the sex slave industry above those that think they pay to much to get their nails done.

Many of the immigrant run business as well US run businesses are often family businesses that exploit their own family members. Saw many of those on Kitchen Nightmares.

Where is outrage for that? or your outrage for the sex slave trade?

Instead you picked an item where you feel you pay to much for..

I told you, I'm not concerned with the cost of women doing their nails.

And................the nail salons were the first examples that came up in my mind as I'd recently been watching news reports on this.

I'm concerned with the sex trade, migrant workers being paid pennies, as well as other forms of slavery as well.

Get rid of all of them.

It's also one of the reasons I'm against the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership), because under that trade agreement, it would allow more corporations to ship more American jobs off to places where they pay the average worker 15 to 50 cents per hour.

Of course you are, just like you are when you buy anything.

You do not really care as long as you can get it at the cheapest price.

Now on electronics like apple, many people are buying these over priced electronics for a status purpose, yet supporting child slavery in China..

Who cares about that since it is China..

The sex trade is by far the worst of it.
There's also substantial mistreatment of illegal immigrants on farms. Pay below minimum wage, inadequate living conditions.
A lot of human trafficking going on in the U.S. If that isn't classified as slavery I don't know what is.
Do not make up the most human-loving country!!

The use of prisoner labor in private industry is definitely a form of slavery. Prisoners were used to do cleanup of the BP oil spill in Louisiana.

They're paid pennies per hour, forced to do dangerous, dirty work, and cannot refuse the work. That's slavery by any definition.

Yes. Slavery is practiced among many recent third world immigrants supposedly leaving for America to be free. I guess free to enslave their own people in human trafficking. "Let's go to the USA. White guilt is rampant......they will never notice immigrants of color engaging in modern day slavery"
