Elizabeth Warren's DNA test results point to Native American heritage

I know a young woman who is of Cherokee descent but she is not on a tribal role, and doesn't get payments from the tribe.

1/1024 is not American Indian
Because if it was most every Caucasian in this country would be Indian according to the Pocahontas standard

Most blacks and latinos would also be Native Americans per that standard.

Just sayin'.
yeah. I dunno really. Really, it's not a big deal. From Trump and his fellow travelers it is, but I think we know why.

With Warren, it seems most people in her family, and possibly a lot of folks in that neck of OK, figure it's just part of their family history. For some reason German Irish backgrounds were a big deal to my father's family. For his kids, we didn't care. And didn't stay in touch with cousins. But at least some Southerners make a big deal about descents who were confederates.

This makes me think of those Ancestry.com commercials where the person thinks he's Irish but find out he's German. We're all mutts.

I know if I took one it'd tell me I'm prejudiced against me.

I got no problem with Warren. She's a little loopy, but she's a Havahd law professor. Obama came close with his U of Chi ties. I knew family members who worked for the bureau of Indian Affairs and hated native americans. Those guys were scum.

I already know some of mine due to the family tree. My British-Scots-Irish bits plan to sue my Viking bits for reparations. Then they are going to unite to sue the Roman bit for a big payday. IOW SHOPPING!
Being a literal bastard has advantages. LOL

Why are you claiming that she ever said she had enough Native American blood to have a membership in a tribe, when SHE NEVER CLAIMED SUCH?

Huh?

On the advent of Pocahontas having genetic testing, showing that she is, in fact, 1/512 part native American, should all others have genetic testing as well?

Obviously, people are interested in this sort of thing in regards to whom they should vote for.

Now deciding what sex someone is can get a bit dicey. There is no scientific test for this and all we can do is see their outward manifestation of boy or girl (no offense intended for using the terms boy and girl. I just can't remember the 74 different sexes we have now)

About what Pocohantes husband had

Good point. Don't Progressive Americans want to know how well diversified the family of the said political candidate is?

Race is everything in the US for Progressives. It defines who and what you are, good, bad, or ugly. It all depends on your race.

Good call.

Warren and Harvard colluded to spread the meme:

The Ivy League law school prominently touted Warren’s Native American background, however, in an effort to bolster their diversity hiring record in the ’90s as the school came under heavy fire for a faculty that was then predominantly white and male.

“Of 71 current Law School professors and assistant professors, 11 are women, five are black, one is Native American and one is Hispanic,” The Harvard Crimson quotes then-Law School spokesman Mike Chmura as saying in a 1996 article. The Crimson added that 83 percent of the Law School’s students believed the number of minority women on staff was inadequate.

“Although the conventional wisdom among students and faculty is that the Law School faculty includes no minority women, Chmura said professor of law Elizabeth Warren is Native American,” the Crimson wrote....

Well shit. Guess I don't belong to the Cherokee Nation.

My great, great grandmother was a full blooded Cherokee and you can see it in my mom and her sister. We kids? Not at all.

I do understand that many have a romantic notion of having some First Nations lineage and but when one uses a falsehood to receive a grant or a position thereby denying those to a true First Nations person, in my mind that is theft.

Can you point out when that happened?

no. it shouldn't matter as long as "american".

Why then did Elizabeth Warren make it a point to say that she had Indian blood?

In fact, why even get genetic testing for it?

Obviously, Progressives needed this information to decide who to support for the 2020 Presidential election bid.

Elizabeth Warren doesn't need to take a DNA test. Here's why...

"Those who continue to insist Warren take a DNA test to "settle the issue" are not taking a pro-Indian position either. DNA doesn't define who is or is not an Indian. Only tribes can do that. To say anything else, including DNA, determines who is or is not Indian is a political attack on tribal sovereignty. The three Cherokee Indian nations who have government to government relationships with the United States have said Warren is not Cherokee. That should have been the end of it. Unfortunately it wasn't.

The genealogy of Warren has been done and shows no indication of Cherokee, Delaware, or any other Indian nation ancestry. The genealogy along with the fact no legitimate Indian nation claims her should have been the end of it. Unfortunately it wasn't."

I know a young woman who is of Cherokee descent but she is not on a tribal role, and doesn't get payments from the tribe.

I used to date a girl who said she was 1/12th Cherokee but didn't get any payments, she said her sisters and her tried but it's a pain in the butt, it's like the good old boy network, you have to know someone who knows someone.

.

She never claimed membership in a tribe, only Native American Heritage When is Trump going to cough up $1 million
`
I agree. I have plenty of Swedish blood in me but that doesn't make me Swedish. Also, I don't recall Warren ever saying she was part of any tribe or wanted to belong to one.

Then why did she have to prove it? And it's fucking laughable, you and I probably have the same amount of Indian blood.

she's an idiot and thought she'd get something out of it i imagine, but you have to ask her then believe what she says.

to me - i simply don't care about your nationality / background as our constitution says nothing of it. just be born here legally and then meet the other requirements that race / ethnic origin have nothing to do with.
