The Obama administration knew about the threats MONTHS in advance. EVERY other foreign country there pulled their people out...except Obama and Hillary.

Several weeks before the final attack there had been 2 terrorist attacks on the compound, the last one leaving a 4-foot hole in the compound wall.

Stevens had made 600+ (over SIX HUNDRED) requests for additional security, ALL of which were denied. They even TOOK AWAY 16 members of his security detail...AFTER those 2 previous terrorist attacks and AFTER every other nation had pulled their people out.

The attack lasted for OVER 8 HOURS, and the State Department reps in Tripoli notified the State Department WITHIN MINUTES of the attack beginning that this was a terrorist attack...


Just STOP with the excuses for this administration. It F*ED UP! I don't care how you 'slice' it, how you try to defend it - 4 Americans NEEDLESSLY died in a terrorist attack.

Except that during the 12th hour after the attack on the consulate building the survivors were already on a plane being evacuated to Tripoli.

Nine Military personnel testified to the House Armed Services Committee early this year and the transcripts were declassified in July of this year.
Here's a link to the transcripts, which are right from the horses mouth. I have offered this link up probably at least a couple dozen times. So instead of getting this not so earth breaking tidbit from a partisan blog, this information has been available for about 6 months to the general public.

It was a bipartisan report. Interviewees included the CIA Station Chief at the time. Sec.of State Clinton's emails have nothing to do with the events in Benghazi that night. No evidence has come out that invalidates the description of event that night in Benghazi as describe by the report. Furthermore, you certainly have not provide any proof of your allegation either. This email certainly doesn't.

The attack wasn't "7 hours long" - there were two entirely separate attacks (in two different places miles apart from each other), each lasting about 30 minutes to an hour, separated by about 5 hours. There were no "live feeds" of anyone dying, either. Nor was there any "stand down" order. The only military assets available to send were sent there, and assisted in the fighting.

It was strongly suggested that the troops be moved to a safer location as they were sitting ducks where they were located. In a previous attack on the US Embassy in Beruit, terrorist used bombs. The guards that acted as security were not allowed to have live ammo.

why not scramble fighter jets ?, they did for the first 911.

the executive branch has become too powerful. it's to centralised with no practical oversight, too easy to hide things, delete, wipe clean, and mislead the public. the lines between truth and power have once again become blurred.

Not that I know of. It just took them over a week to admit that they (the administration) were warned but did nothing because they didn't want too look weak. Instead they looked stupid/incompetent as just six months earlier the US Embassy in Beirut was attacked using the exact methodology!
