Even Obama Knows The End Is Near

So you're Canadian.

So your opinion doesn't matter here in the states.

No, guy, I said I would prefer if we had a Canadian style system. Or British. Or Japanese. Or German. Or what most of the civilized world does, where everyone is covered, they spend about half as much per capita, live longer, have a lower infant mortality rate, and people aren't bankrupted by serious illnesses.

it would actually be a boon to most businesses, most of which don't want to be in the insurance business anyway. As someone pointed out, GM Spends more on health care for its employees than it does on steel to build cars.

Only an idiot would want the government to get into the insurance industry. It would assure that your hip-replacement never happened.

Really

the more socialized systems just make one wait for procedures
and hope they die - it saves money

Toronto Sun: Medical wait times still long: Report 3/12

Of course, in most of these systems
if you are connected, you can get treatment faster

No doubt in PapaObama Care
Everyone will get the same treatment
:eusa_whistle:

In fact it is so good, the Canadian system that

Canadian official, premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, has heart surgery -- in the U.S.

At least you get treatment. In this country, we have people dying of treatable diseases... because 1 in 4 has eitehr no insurance or inadequate insurance.

And the insurance industry is fighting hard to keep it that way.

Well we do hire them to keep our costs low
do we not

Perhaps if we had a real free market and allowed competition
the market would be able to respond properly for dissatisfied customers

Except it doesn't work that way... IN fact, medical costs in the US are higher than any nation in teh world.

Spending per person statistics - countries compared - Nationmaster

We spend $4287.00 per person in this country on health care, compared to 2243 in Japan or 1939 in Canada.

And a lot of that is lost in overhead, insurance profit taking, etc.

And again, lower life expectency, higher infant mortality rates, higher rates of bankruptcy.

You get hip replacements in Canada. It just takes awhile. My mother had her knee replaced but it took several months in the queue first. However, in therapy, she was unhappy with her GP but can't change because 10% of Canadians can't get a GP because of shortages, and GPs won't take new patients where she lives if she already has a GP.

I prefer the US system but polls over the years show that 80-90% of Canadians are satisfied with their system.

You need specialists for a hip-replacement. An Orthopedic Surgeon in a system with therapists included in the program.

Why does the insurance industry fight hard to make sure 25% of Americans don't have health insurance?

They don't. He's full of crap.

He forgets what insurance means. It doesn't mean it's manditory. It wouldn't be insurance anymore. It would be an entitlement.

Profit margins for health insurance companies is 3%-4%, not seeing a big issue there. Not finding anywhere supporting your 30% claim.

Becuase everyone who has ever worked for a living has encountered a POS in a suit like Romney who laid them off at least once.

Perhaps you wouldn't be laid off if you were worth a shit?

Just a thought...

How easy it is for someone like you to sit behind your keyboard and pretend you are worth anything. Thanks for the laugh today because of all things considered you just might be :eusa_liar:. Now tell us all your worth, in your mind of course, while you stand up for those how do have some control over others lives. We know , it's a difficult concept for someone like you who has his nose so far up someone elses ass you cannot distguish between the smell of their shit and your real oultook on the real life you lead.
Again thanks for the laugh.

Show me examples of how this invisible 1% is screwing you personally. And those who make greater than $200k aren't part of this infamous 1%. I just showed you how your average small business owner is about to get screwed and you start spewing typical leftist talking points about millionaires and billionaires. Insurance companies use small franchise owners to service their customers. They're the ones that will be feeling the brunt of these silly regulations.

Oh, is this the part where I'm supposed to feel sorry for the poor businessman?

Boo, hoo, hoo,

Screw the whole insurance industry. Left up to me, we have a single payer Canada system and make all these assholes get honest jobs.

But if you are going to insist we need these parasites, I have no problem with laws that keep them from sucking too much blood.

So you're Canadian.

So your opinion doesn't matter here in the states.

I did not know they had a Chicago in Canada.

Either that, or the greater Chicago area was greater than I thought.

I'm in Minnesota. Does that make me Canadian by way of greater Chicago?

Do you have no friends outside of the States?

Because they can't make money off of them.

If the insurance industry had its way, it would sell to healthy people and disallow sick people from getting treatment.

Then I'm not seeing the problem Muddy was whining about that 80% of revenues go to treatment, then....

That was his whine. that the industry be restricted to a mere 20% in profit.

Here is a link that show 2.4%, where are you getting your 20%-30% margins?
