"Evil when we are in its power is not felt as evil, but as necessity." Simone Weil

Why is Trump so appealing to so many Americans who do not in any way share his behaviors or values? Is Trump evil or the harder question is his appeal a sign of evil. Consider January 6Th as example, it has to remind one of Hitler's rise to power and control of Germany. Hitler's hatred for for the Jewish people was motivated by his own shortcomings. A target, a foe, a group, is always required. Trump caged children but part of his appeal is the fact his judges overturned Roe. The unborn matter more than the born? Hatred is now directed at democrats, immigrants, gays, and trans, love for the unborn is an easy concern for it requires nothing unless control of others is your goal. Living breathing children at our border are not wanted and often hated and caged. Did the child lover complain then? No, for that is a reality - a moral dilemma - they place in another box and excuse. In a real sense immigrants have become the hated group in a land in which everyone is the child of immigrants, hate needs no reason.

Pastors embrace Trump's grievances in prayers at his rallies just as they did when Obama ran for office. But John McCain being a man of honor refused their support. Trump uses religion as Hitler and other so called religious do, as a stick without conscience. Is American democracy and it freedom in jeopardy should hate move enough Americans to forget their values and their morals? The answer is clear.

Evil takes many forms, it allows the evil doer freedom and justification but it is not called evil for to do so would raise hard questions - moral dilemma. Caged children at our border did the religious who cared for the life of the unborn care for the lives of the born. Hate blinds the follower.

Your first article notes that Trump did something bad but it seems bad because he did it for longer than Obama did it. (not that I have seen anything to verify that).

It would be another example of what I've long said. Anything you refuse to condemn your guy over will only get worse with the next.

Easy. It's not as complicated as "good" and "evil". Trump isn't that discerning. Trump is an opportunist. He's senses weakness. His supporters want a strongman who IS them. He makes them feel safe. Like with him in the White House, their version of a white majority America won't disappear. They won't be replaced. They won't have to wake up and see their country turning into the darker melting pot that it is. They have a leader who isn't afraid to play upon their weaknesses and openly tout his racism and bigotry. It gives them the courage to do it as well.

grow up, it has nothing to do with race or a "white america" . Why must you lefties always make everything about race? Oh I know, because thats all your failed ideology has left. you libtards amuse me with your foolishness.
It is the ESSENCE of support for Trump. Whether you want to be honest about it or not.

There are democrats sick of illegal immigrants as well, and Trump owns independents on this issue. Perhaps Biden needs to promise and not deliver even more student loan relief. It worked in the midterms, Surely those fools will believe this time he will deliver.

What you fail to understand is, people get sick and tired of poor results, of incompetence, of their living standard being declined. So more have lost interest in Biden. Trump gets results and doesn't take shit, so more now move over to that because of the first problem, Biden.

So supply as many links as you want, people get fed up of the pussy and wants the Lion back incharge to sort out the shit show.

And no doubt you will cry over this.

And don't tell me, Trump is a nasty pasty.

Absolutely .
Image and charisma are so important, regardless of what should be, or , what is best or even right .

My only reservations concern whether he is Deep State--- be he an inserted control opposition figure , or , just a faction leader within Deep State .
And as a Jew , what stance he might take with Israel and the over representation of Jewish people in the media , entertainment industries , Silicon Valley and Big Pharma -- just for starters

the deep state hates Trump because they cannot buy him or control him.

bullshit. total bullshit. Trump hired minoritities and women for high paying jobs in his company, Biden called integration a racial jungle. you have it all backwards, moron.
Hired help?..LOL. Sure. You can pay them squat wages and get cheap labor. That puts Trump right up there with....all the rest of the corporations in this country.

Doesn't change the fact that support for him boils down to a dislike of "darker" people and white grievance. Put the two together and what do you got?...oh yeah..Trump. :)

Trump is a convicted rapist but on Fox news: Biden made a verbal gaffe. Huh! Apologists as above amaze me, hate of the other blinds people to reality. I kinda up there in years so an autocracy would have little meaning to us. We made it but given Trump wants control and his SCOTUS doesn't mind either. What next for democracy? When the so called supreme court has three or four who perjured themselves over Roe what can you really say. But autocracies appeal to some as hate for diversity and personal freedom often guides them.

you are a lunatic, do you really think the dems are not trying to control the SC and congress? Why are they pushing to make it 13? why are they pushing to make DC and Puerto Rico states? Why are they allowing illegals by the millions to enter the country and be counted in calculating house districts? Trump passed several cognitive tests with high scores, Senile Joe refuses to take one, wake up and try to deal with reality.
