Faith in JESUS Saves You not Obeying Old Testment Law

BELIEVERS=Once you were under God’s curse, doomed forever for your sins. 2 You went along with the crowd and were just like all the others, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air, who is at work right now in the hearts of those who are against the Lord. 3 All of us used to be just as they are, our lives expressing the evil within us, doing every wicked thing that our passions or our evil thoughts might lead us into. We started out bad, being born with evil natures, and were under God’s anger just like everyone else.

4 But God is so rich in mercy; he loved us so much 5 that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives again[a] when he raised Christ from the dead—only by his undeserved favor have we ever been saved— 6 and lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with him in the heavenly realms—all because of what Christ Jesus did. 7 And now God can always point to us as examples of how very, very rich his kindness is, as shown in all he has done for us through Jesus Christ.

8 Because of his kindness, you have been saved through trusting Christ. And even trusting is not of yourselves; it too is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it. 10 It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.
Ephesians 2:1-8

BELIEVERS!= Never forget that once you were heathen and that you were called godless and “unclean” by the Jews. (But their hearts, too, were still unclean, even though they were going through the ceremonies and rituals of the godly, for they circumcised themselves as a sign of godliness.) 12 Remember that in those days you were living utterly apart from Christ; you were enemies of God’s children, and he had promised you no help. You were lost, without God, without hope.

13 But now you belong to Christ Jesus, and though you once were far away from God, now you have been brought very near to him because of what Jesus Christ has done for you with his blood.

14 For Christ himself is our way of peace. He has made peace between us Jews and you Gentiles by making us all one family, breaking down the wall of contempt* that used to separate us. 15 By his death he ended the angry resentment between us, caused by the Jewish laws that favored the Jews and excluded the Gentiles, for he died to annul that whole system of Jewish laws. Then he took the two groups that had been opposed to each other and made them parts of himself; thus he fused us together to become one new person, and at last there was peace. 16 As parts of the same body, our anger against each other has disappeared, for both of us have been reconciled to God. And so the feud ended at last at the cross. 17 And he has brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were very far away from him, and to us Jews who were near. 18 Now all of us, whether Jews or Gentiles, may come to God the Father with the Holy Spirit’s help because of what Christ has done for us.
Ephesians 2:11-18

BELIEVERS!= Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s very own family, citizens of God’s country, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.

20 What a foundation you stand on now: the apostles and the prophets; and the cornerstone of the building is Jesus Christ himself! 21 We who believe are carefully joined together with Christ as parts of a beautiful, constantly growing temple for God. 22 And you also are joined with him and with each other by the Spirit and are part of this dwelling place of God.
EPHESIANS 2:19-22

Faith in JESUS Saves You not Obeying Old Testment Law==CHOSE T0 PLACE YOUR FAITH IN JESUS==a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galations 2:16
==BELIEVERS! We now live under the new covenant not under old testment law. PTL.=======If we could be saved by his laws, then God would not have had to give us a different way to get out of the grip of sin—for the Scriptures insist we are all its prisoners. The only way out is through faith in Jesus Christ; the way of escape is open to all who believe him.

23 Until Christ came we were guarded by the law, kept in protective custody, so to speak, until we could believe in the coming Savior.

24 Let me put it another way. The Jewish laws were our teacher and guide until Christ came to give us right standing with God through our faith. 25 But now that Christ has come, we don’t need those laws any longer to guard us and lead us to him. 26 For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, 27 and we who have been baptized into union with Christ are enveloped by him. 28 We are no longer Jews or Greeks or slaves or free men or even merely men or women, but we are all the same—we are Christians; we are one in Christ Jesus. 29 And now that we are Christ’s we are the true descendants of Abraham, and all of God’s promises to him belong to us.

BELIEVERS WE NOW LIVE BY FAITH IN JESUS NOT UNDER THE OLD COVENANT LAW!!!= OBEYING THE LAW WAS== the way it was with us before Christ came. We were slaves to Jewish laws and rituals, for we thought they could save us. 4 But when the right time came, the time God decided on, he sent his Son, born of a woman, born as a Jew, 5 to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law so that he could adopt us as his very own sons. 6 And because we are his sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, so now we can rightly speak of God as our dear Father. 7 Now we are no longer slaves but God’s own sons. And since we are his sons, everything he has belongs to us, for that is the way God planned.

8 Before you Gentiles knew God you were slaves to so-called gods that did not even exist. 9 And now that you have found God (or I should say, now that God has found you), how can it be that you want to go back again and become slaves once more to another poor, weak, useless religion of trying to get to heaven by obeying God’s laws? 10 You are trying to find favor with God by what you do or don’t do on certain days or months or seasons or years. 11 I fear for you. I am afraid that all my hard work for you was worth nothing.

BELIEVERS KNOW=The Gentiles will have their full share with the Jews in all the riches inherited by God’s sons; both are invited to belong to his Church, and all of God’s promises of mighty blessings through Christ apply to them both when they accept the Good News about Christ and what he has done for them. 7 God has given me the wonderful privilege of telling everyone about this plan of his; and he has given me his power and special ability to do it well.

8 Just think! Though I did nothing to deserve it, and though I am the most useless Christian there is, yet I was the one chosen for this special joy of telling the Gentiles the Glad News of the endless treasures available to them in Christ; 9 and to explain to everyone that God is the Savior of the Gentiles too, just as he who made all things had secretly planned from the very beginning.

10 And his reason? To show to all the rulers in heaven how perfectly wise he is when all of his family—Jews and Gentiles alike—are seen to be joined together in his Church 11 in just the way he had always planned it through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Now we can come fearlessly right into God’s presence, assured of his glad welcome when we come with Christ and trust in him.

BELIEVERRS=You and I, dear brothers, are the children that God promised, just as Isaac was. 29 And so we who are born of the Holy Spirit are persecuted now by those who want us to keep the Jewish laws, just as Isaac, the child of promise, was persecuted by Ishmael, the slave-wife’s son.

30 But the Scriptures say that God told Abraham to send away the slave-wife and her son, for the slave-wife’s son could not inherit Abraham’s home and lands along with the free woman’s son. 31 Dear brothers, we are not slave children, obligated to the Jewish laws, but children of the free woman, acceptable to God because of our faith.

When the Old Testament was no longer believable, they invented a new religion. Now even the Jesus stories are not believable. This is the problem with things that do not evolve. They die out or go extinct eventually.

If Adam and Eve is a story not real and Mosus & Noah are just stories, maybe the Jesus story was just made up too. Ever think of that?

OK guno what term/concept is more clear/universal
for all humanity being INCLUDED in salvation or equal justice and peace for all.

What ways do you describe
* what fulfills and unites this relationship among all humanity as one with God's love/truth
* what causes division, separation, exclusion or falling short of upholding laws of justice?

How do you describe the difference?
GISMYS points to faith in Jesus and being true to God's laws (not lying or deceiving)
I find that as long as we agree to FORGIVE then we can correct all things,
all wrongs or divisions, that otherwise prevent us from agreeing on God's Truth
So I look at Christ Jesus as faith in Restorative Justice, or Justice with Mercy/Peace,
which allows mutual forgiveness correction and restitution in all relationships and society.

How do you describe the process that determines
if people are heading to falseness, suffering, hell or anything negative
or if people are heading to truth, peace, unity, harmony or the positive path in life.

If you don't call it saved by faith in Jesus or grace,
what do you call the critical factor that determines peace and justice and truth?

Why take it so literally sealybobo where it loses any meaning to you.
Why not take it holistically to represent the stages of development of man in general?

Nobody even has to believe or prove the historical Jesus did this or that in the Bible
to at least appreciate what Jesus represents, as a divine process of humanity
"breaking free from past cycles of sin or abuse in the past, as in the OT"
to restoring Justice and Peace through good faith relations as in the NT.

Why not take just the meaning and message that is collective "for all humanity"
and not have to nitpick over literal interpretations that are different for each person.

BELIEVERS!!!=When I think of the wisdom and scope of his plan, I fall down on my knees and pray to the Father of all the great family of God—some of them already in heaven and some down here on earth— 16 that out of his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you the mighty inner strengthening of his Holy Spirit. 17 And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; 18-19 and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself.

20 Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. 21 May he be given glory forever and ever through endless ages because of his master plan of salvation for the Church through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 3:14-21

Dear sealybobo even without depending on any such Biblical hell after death,
even during life there are people trapped in spiritual hellish suffering
* war is hell
* suffering cycles of abuse or addiction, oppression and poverty is living in hell for some
* going through the justice or prison system is some people's hell

These are still caused by "unforgiveness" and past conflicts repeating.
So that is the equivalent of hell -- collective suffering from past wrongs not resolved
but which repeat by unforgiveness and retribution where people suffer in fear

This suffering does exist, and collectively the sum of all such experiences
can be interpreted as the equivalent of hell

We call it being a good human being/citizen/person.

This god or jesus is divisive. It is annoying to anyone who is good but rejects your religion. So what we can agree with you guys on are any of the good principles that are within the good book. But there are many good books. And the christian book has too many flaws for us to use it as the universal truth. So we need to come up with a new universal book. One that we can all agree on.

You could tell people

a. You want people to like you right? Or you don't want to go to jail, right?
b. You could tell people that some people believe in karma. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
c. You could even throw in a little god. Say, "some people even believe in heaven and hell and bad people, some people think, go to hell."

But the god portion of teaching right and wrong is not necessary. Two atheists who raise their kids right raise good citizens/people. The god story wasn't/isn't necessary.

BELIEVERS=We are all parts of one body, we have the same Spirit, and we have all been called to the same glorious future. 5 For us there is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 and we all have the same God and Father who is over us all and in us all, and living through every part of us. 7 However, Christ has given each of us special abilities—whatever he wants us to have out of his rich storehouse of gifts.

8 The psalmist tells about this, for he says that when Christ returned triumphantly to heaven after his resurrection and victory over Satan, he gave generous gifts to men. 9 Notice that it says he returned to heaven. This means that he had first come down from the heights of heaven, far down to the lowest parts of the earth. 10 The same one who came down is the one who went back up, that he might fill all things everywhere with himself, from the very lowest to the very highest.

Funny when it comes to religion you say you are all one but your politics are every man for himself. Me thinks you are lying to the weak minded to manipulate the weak and stupid.

What victory did Jesus have over Satan? The Roman's and Jews strung him up and he died. What victory did he win?

What gifts did he give to men when he was in heaven? So not only did they see him rise up from the grave he also sent them care packages once he got back home to the father and the holy ghost?

If adam, eve, mosus and noah are made up stories, so is Jesus' story. Wake up stupid.
