Why is that? That's a wonderful fairytale. In the real world you need a viable alternative.
Is it cleaner?IDIOT. Electricity is not an energy source that can be tapped like gasoline, hydrogen or natural gas, electricity must be GENERATED/CREATED first by man which then brings into question the cleanness of that method!
How about this:Why does America need to stay on fossil fuels?
Biden is responsible for the high oil prices that enabled putin to invade. If trump was still president and the oil prices were still low, putin couldn't afford an invasionBy banning Russian oil,.. now all he has to do is reopen our own pipelines.

No.Electricity produced with coal or gas?
Promote it???? he is forcing a square peg into a round hole on it...renewables are not even close to being ready to take over for fossil fuels...and they won't be in our lifetime...so why make America poorer over it?.... while off shoring the oil business to other parts of the globe?.... It doesn't make sense....He needs to promote moving away from fossil fuels and into more cleaner energy, like electricity.
2 weeks too late. But leading from behind is to be expected from this incompetent moron.By banning Russian oil,.. now all he has to do is reopen our own pipelines.
No, "Is it (electricity) cleaner?" is not a good question because it is not being compared with some other type of energy. But maybe a good try for someone with a limited vocabulary.Good question Marc ATL (post #25).
i really have to laugh at the crazies sometimes. They think that the so called clean energy is great. There are so many problems they are blithely unaware of and refuse to educate themselves on. Our electrical grid is almost maxed out and aging yet it is being stressed more and more. The wind and solar makes up only a small portion of our electrical needs and is extremely subsidized by the federal government to make it even close to affordable.Good question Marc ATL (post #25). I'll answer it. Because the reality (truth) is that we need to use fossil fuels until we have a viable alternative. It is that simple. Now, many (virtue signaling) Americans have embraced the folly that some magical clean energy along with their EV will stop the destruction of Earth. Those Americans would be well advised to shut the f up when their neighbors start to eat their dogs and cats. I would prefer them to do that now, but in the future they may very well be the target of hateful retribution.
Maybe we can figure out a way to separate the country into smaller nations or autonomous regions. You go your way and live the way you want. Others go their ways.Is it cleaner?

Mining for the lithium is destroying the environment.
Going to be laughing my self to death when those in California start trying to figure out how to charge their cars when they shut off the electricity when the wind blows.
Fossil fuels are often used to produce electricity. People will move away from fossil fuels when other options are convenient and cost effective. Currently that is not the case. Go ahead, buy an electric car tomorrow, you'll be in full sticker shock. He needs to promote moving away from fossil fuels and into more cleaner energy, like electricity.
