First he says we don't pay tariffs

Not hurting the economy or me
Then what is his concern? Farmers are doing great.

President Donald Trump unveiled details of a $16 billion bailout for farmers this week to compensate for income lost in the trade war with China, a conflict that has done lasting damage to American industry—and raised farm subsidies to new heights in the process.

"The details we announced today ensure farmers will not stand alone in facing unjustified retaliatory tariffs while President Trump continues working to solidify better and stronger trade deals around the globe," United States Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue said in a statement outlining the trade relief package on Thursday.

fuck you - you just got educated.

wow, and we thought Obama was a socialist!

Now he says he's relaxing them because he doesn't want Americans getting hurt with higher prices BECAUSE of tariffs.,and to protect consumers who'll be Xmas shopping Americans aren't paying for tariffs just like we're not paying for the wall, because Mexico is Trump is one ****ed-** president
Hi, Ed! It's amazing that the famous 38% still believe China is paying the tariffs. And now, for backup, the admin is trying to tell us that China is dropping its prices to the same amount of the tariffs so the prices will be the same as before the tariffs.

I got this bag of hammers that has a higher IQ than those who believe this admin's excuses.
/—-/ China dropping their prices means they are losing money. Do you think your Chinese Commie heroes like losing money?

But China isn't.....

What China is threatening and doing is not buy our produce. If we refuse to buy their products what we are doing is harming American producers. China also has the option of dumping our debt.

Our relationship with China was not good but it was created by us.
China buys a meager $120 billion yet SELLS a stagering $539 billion to the US...do you even understand the basics of the trade deficit and it's unhealthy fallout?

Obviously not

Iirc, we constitute something like 3% of the Chinese global economy , not really even on their radar

So another tax (tariff for those who don't understand it IS a tax) is only a threat to Americans , not the Chinese

Ask any farmer

~S~

Nothing you stated counters anything I said. That $539 billion is a ton of goods from American companies located in China. Put them out of business for all I care. Put the farmers here out of business if that is what you want.
oh..now you care for the farmers, eh? I thought you leftist turd hate those "bible thumping, Republican voting Hillbillies"...cause you do...hypocrite...
Yeah..right...the $539 billion are "American products" eh? produced using real American worker, paying American business taxes..or do they?

Piss off, no one takes you serious if you're that stupid...

PS: the biggest lure for the world's manufacturer is the American consumer...cause you people buy more than anyone else...that's the base line and whoever isn't willing to supply Americans with jobs and taxes should not be allowed to take a free ride....there you have it, you left turd are DEFENDING predator capitalism...pathetic

I reply to your post in a logical manner and in reply I get an off ones meds rant.

America has 320 million consumers. China has 1.5 billion.

why do you lie?

Oh, sure...leftist hard at work I guess

"In 2018, China shipped 18% of its exports to the United States. That contributed to a $419 billion trade deficit. China's trade with Hong Kong, at 14%, was almost as much. Its trade with Japan, which was at 6%, and South Korea, at 4.5%, was much less."
The Surprising Ways China Affects the U.S. Economy

accoring to this, I can turn your argument against you no problem...

"China regained its position as the world's largest exporter in 2017, when it exported $2.2 trillion of its production. The EU briefly took the No. 1 spot in 2016. It now is second, exporting $1.9 trillion. The United States is third, exporting $1.6 trillion."

cause apparently, the US isn't exporting a lot to China, is it? $120 billion is a drop in the bucket...so, where is your concern?

I reply to your post in a logical manner and in reply I get an off ones meds rant.

to reply to your openly displayed ignorant stupidity:

"China has 1.38 billion people, more than any other country in the world. China is still a relatively poor country in terms of its standard of living. Its economy only produces $18,120 per person. In comparison, the U.S. gross domestic product per capita is $62,518."

get back to me when you at least understand the fundamentals....boy, you are embarrassing.....

well, was that so hard now? the first good argument and I fully agree...Chinese tend to plan for decades if not centuries...
I have a Chinese friend here, In Stirling, who came 14 years ago from mainland China...I've asked him once, how the Chinese could allow the British to take Hong Kong in 1847 for a leese of 150 years....his response was quite an eye opener: he told me, that as long as it wasn't permanent, the Chinese weren't bothered by it...what is a 150 years in the context of a nation which has a three thousand year old culture and history?

anyways, China will have to come to terms with it's position and that position isn't very good...we can't let a dictatorship like that gain immense power and influence...the US can't sell itself out for forever and ever and yes, the transition will have pains as well, yet we see already the first signs of a fundamental shift in global economics which is very good

China did not create the imbalance. China has no reason to start importing expensive US made items and it would be foolish of us to think that is the solution to a problem we created.

My point you agreed to is the same point I made all along. China did not force US companies to come there and start production. Once can not blame them though for welcoming it. Some here were warning about the long term problems here. We didn't care. It made the next earnings statement look good.

this is exactly, what President Trump addresses with his nationalistic economic model..and it's about time! we can't have this wild running capitalism..money doesn't know a flag and companies neither, so we have to force them to make a decision: either contribute to the society they want to sell to, or pay the penalty for grabbing the benefit...

besides the point dude....global politics and economics don't care for feelings...that's btw why trump clearly stated that he "doesn't blame the Chinese for the situation, but the useless US politicians both sides of the Ile"

For the current situation, emotions are completely irrelevant...sure, sucks for average Ping to have his once rosie future fucked up, but what are the alternatives? allow China it's aggressive policies and agenda? allow them to go on with their politically-economically entwined socialist cheating system to ever new hights?

Do YOU want to bow down to a dictatorship which has far more power over individuals than anything, a democracy would allow?
How about human rights violations? how about currency manipulations and cheap loans to state owned cooperations?
how is any free enterprise suppose to compete with such a monster apparatus and what is the fallout from that?

Soviet Union on steroids..that's the answer...if the Soviets had such an economy, you would be speaking now Russian as your first (official) language....
