CDZ For what reason are kids having to learn about slavery ??

My granddaughter who goes to school with Blacks, Asians, Mexicans, whites (her color), etc just said to me "PaPa we're learning about slavery"... My heart sank knowing what the poor child was being exposed to, and how she will next be basically looked at by her black classmates in a different way, and this after they being themselves exposed to the events surrounding this time period in which waxes hot amongst so many Americans to this very day.

Blacks are running around trying all they can to erase history (destroying statues), etc. Yet they want the white children to be exposed to a government version of events in which will cause generations after generations of naive children to be saddled with white Guilt.

Then we have the upcoming "black history month", where the same results can also take place in this program just as well. What's wrong with changing the month to "AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH" instead ?????? In American History Month the children would be able to pick out their favorite person in American history to write an essay on.

When learning American history, it is extremely important for kids to learn about the horrific human rights abuses perpetrated by the U.S. Democratic party, especially slavery. When being taught about slavery they need to be taught that institutional slavery isn't something that was permanently abolished in the 19th century and primarily happened to blacks. Kids need to be taught the facts that the vast majority of slaves in the USA were white and many of them have grandfathers who were forced into slavery by Lyndon Johnson(D) and emancipated by Richard Nixon(R).

Kids need to know that slavery is not just ancient American history, it is modern American history and can happen again. And if it does they would be the targeted victims. They need to be taught the truth about the Democratic party of slavery.

Kids need to know that until the Democratic party is defunct and tossed into the dustbin of sordid American history, they are at extremely high risk of becoming slaves themselves.

When we covered slavery in my 8th Grade History class there were no Negro kids in the classroom. Private Catholic school.

So for us this was more of an enlightenment about man's inhumanity to man than anything else.

Then the smartest kid in the class, a tall white BBall player named Tommy, said, "I guess now we all need to go and somehow live with it."

Truth be told, this slavery thing was mostly a Congolese, Arab, Jewish, Dutch Protestant, Southern Protestant thing. I cannot imagine Catholics taking part. But I suspect a few did.

Very few people today know that in 1808 Congress abolished the slave trade. That's because by the 1820's, most of the Founding Fathers were dead and Thomas Jefferson's party, the Democratic Party, which was founded in 1792, had become the majority party in Congress. With this new party a change in congressional policy on slavery emerged. The 1789 law that prohibited slavery in federal territory was reversed when the Democratic Congress passed the Missouri Compromise in 1820. Several States were subsequently admitted as slave States. My granddaughter who goes to school with Blacks, Asians, Mexicans, whites (her color), etc just said to me "PaPa we're learning about slavery"... What's wrong with changing the month to "AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH" instead ?????? In American History Month the children would be able to pick out their favorite person in American history to write an essay on.

What's wrong, scared a black child might pick a white person to write about or think highly of ??? Jessie Jackson, and old Al Sharpton along with Maxine Waters would have a cow wouldn't they ?

Founding Fathers believed it was against the Law of Nature but knew not how to end it at the time of founding but did intend for it to perish and took actions towards that end. In the 1820's after most of the Founders were dead, the Democratic Party went against the wishes of the founders and expanded slavery and fought to keep it that way for the next 150 years.

I just think that the lessons should be heavily scrutinized/investigated to make sure that we are teaching them in a way that does not place a huge burden upon their souls, their minds, and their hearts in that others could take advantage of or even destroy their lives over. Both of my grandfathers and both of my great grandfathers were slaves and I'm not in poverty. In fact, through extremely hard work, living well under my means and making wise/lucky investments I've done quite well financially and could retire comfortably before I was 50.

I think you will find that schools will teach about the American slaves, but not the Roman slaves. They also won't teach about the Greek slaves. You know, the chaps that created democracy. For you see, the only way to make a democracy run half way efficiently was for the elites in Greece to have slaves to do their work for them, that way they had time to educate themselves on the issues of the day and stand around and debate them. Today, a democracy works by the slaves being told who to vote for by the press and education system and two party system while the elites just lie their arse off to them.

Similarly, schools may teach about genocide when it comes to the American Indian or Holocaust, but you will never hear a teacher say anything about the millions of Armenian Christians killed off by the Turkish government. Why? Well cuz that would not go over well with the current Turkish government. Also, they are Muslims.......so...............upsetting them is a big no, no. Besides, no one gives a damn about Christians. Just look at the inaction of the UN when it came to the genocide of Christians in the Sudan or in Syria. Not a finger was lifted to help them.

All children should be taught about slavery, communism, nazism, as well as every genocide of the 20th century in great detail. In addition they should know the development of a fetus at every stage of development.
