Yeah...you guys say Universal Background Checks like it is important...why? They have already failed in Washington state..they have them and a guy who couldn't own a gun filed his paperwork with false info....got the gun and his son used it to kill people...

Current Federal, mandatory background checks are ignored by criminals and mass shooters...criminals steal their guns or get people who can pass background checks buy the gun.......so those two methods will get past Universal Background Checks too....so Universal Background Checks do nothing.....

They do increase the chance that you can catch a normal person, who sells an old gun to a relative without getting the background check and making him a felon because of it....you will be able to do that....which is why you want them....

And of course.....all mass shooters either pass background checks or get around them...current background checks....Santa Barbara shooter, passed a background check 3 times, once for each of his guns......Sandy Hook....didn't bother...just murdered his mother who did pass background checks....

so since that is the truth and the reality...why do you guys call out "Universal Background Checks" as if it means anything...?

Yeah....and how would that change with Universal Background Checks....if the seller doesn't care about jail? And of course....criminals would simply go back and steal the guns...or they get a friend or relative to go to the garage, get the background check done, get the gun and then give it to the bad guy....

So Universal Background Checks do nothing...nothing to stop crime, solve crime or prevent mass shootings....

However, they do allow you to make that normal person, selling a legal product, the gun, into a felon if they fail to get a background check when they sell their .22 bolt action rifle to their brother in law....they would both be felons....and you guys get all hot thinking about punishing those guys....don't you?
