Yes, legislatures are allowed broad powers, but their actions have to be undertaken as a group No single member of the legislature, or even a few of legislature members can just form a committee, and expect to wield the power of the legislature without the entire body endorsing that. Not really. Some republican members of those legislatures want to break the law like trump is urging them to do. Fortunately, common since will prevail, and trump will lose again.
