Although now we should be concerned about Judge Napolitano's future at FOX, somehow this slipped through....(move over Dershowitz...LOL)

A Fox News legal analyst believes there’s enough information out there to “commence a criminal investigation” into accusations of collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia.

It is a crime to receive something of value, when you’re a campaign official, from a foreign person or a foreign government,” Judge Andrew Napolitano said Monday on “America’s Newsroom.”

Fox News host Sandra Smith asked what it would have meant if Donald Trump Jr. and other campaign officials received information about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at the Trump Tower meeting last year with Russian operatives.

That would’ve been a felony,” Napolitano replied. “That would’ve been the completion of a crime.”

sooner or later idiots of every stripe will face the facts.

He's wrong and he knows it.
Napalitino is a talking head just like the rest of them.
What the left want to say is that taking the meeting was illegal, that hoping to commit a crime is the same as committing a crime. It isn't.
As Jonathon Turley said on NPR - Now, what's clear is that, in terms of collusion, Donald Trump Jr. appears to have been willing to collude. He just wasn't successful. It's like going to a no-tell motel with intent of being an adulterer and not finding someone there. It doesn't make you necessarily a better person. You're just a really bad adulterer.
And to specifically address Napalotino's ignorance......
If you start to treat the exchange of information as if it's like campaign finance money, it could go - it would be basically without any limiting principle. You could have a foreign NGO, an environmental group, giving information to a campaign, a foreign professor
It would really expand the federal election laws to go deeply into political speech. And people have to be very careful. They're so eager to find a crime here that they're not considering the implications

Obama's deep state is continuing its efforts to fuck over America. Obama while living the life of a 1%, flying all over the globe in shiny jets and all, his 8 years of destruction were not enough for the narcissist. Keep smoking those viceroys Obama and drinking that cheap 4-Roses liquor.

Just a matter of time before federal employees get a day off

Well Hillary's crew can get used to wearing orange as well considering they used information from paid Russian informants AND used false information about Manafort to force his resignation.

And think if we expand INFORMATION as"something of value" from a foreign government to being a felony.............whoa geeze how many groups apart from the media like environmental groups using information obtained from abroad now becomes a criminal offense?

Big can of worms here. Pandora's box.

Sorry there, nitwit.....The campaign finance law includes the provision that acceptance of ANYTHING of value (not just money) is a breach......

....and if you take my wallet and then discover that its empty, does THAT make you any less a thief?......If a terrorist with a bomb-vest chickens out at the last moment, does that make him innocent?

Do you not find it disturbing that Obama is living the life of a 1% when there is documented evidence he campaigned against the group he is part of? He got his base all riled up looking to go after the 1% with pitchforks.

Double standard. Do as I say, not as I do

But the info was supposed to be about the Russian Gov't meddling by helping Clinton, so there's a difference in importance of what that info is. You'd be saying Obama comitted a crime if he asked the
Russian Ambassador who he met 22 times if the Russian Gov't meddled to help
Trump. Or That in illegal surveillance of the Civillians conversation with "a Russianv for his use for political upperhand is more then the crime it already was.
:)

Im sure every fucking one of these RussianWingers are batshit crazy .. no doubt about it.

What the fuck does your bashing of Obama have to do with this thread????

(start your own "I hate Obama" thread.....and go at it.)

Spin it any way you want........BUT, what you are swallowing with your mouth wide open, is the bullshit that Donnie-baby is telling you to swallow.

I guess he will lose his job , and we do not want him on CNN or Msnbc.

Believe it or not on a personal level I have no doubt that they are quite charming. Intelligent, well versed on many topics and Bill from all I have ever heard is witty and makes you feel like you are the only person in the room.

I'm only talking the law here regarding "information". If we start to put a value on "information" and make it a criminal offense to receive information from a foreign government think about the Pandora's box we will be opening.

You are wrong. The intent to commit a crime is a crime. Adultery is not a crime. If you agree to receive stolen property and the police are there and there is no stolen property, you will be charged.

Information can be valuable and certain types of information do not fall under free speech. If you steal secret campaign documents and turn them over to their opponent, that is a crime. This is the same thing except it is conspiring with a foreign power.
