GOA to Sue the ATF's Bump Stock Ban

I'm not so sure about that. I wouldn't know where to get an illegal gun. Would you? Really?

Every bar in NYC has a bookie, and that is usually your gateway to other nefarious individuals.
So you assume you could, but you don't really know.

How does a person find a weed guy?

The market is out there, you just need an "in"
Lol, I think just about everyone knows a "weed guy" or knows someone who does. But you are just assuming that leads to somebody who will sell you a gun, and while I'm sure it can sometimes I highly doubt it does all the time.

Fine, then you go to your bookie, or to the guy who sells sports gear out of his trunk (growing up it was "Tough Tony", he was a fence for the "family" that worked JFK).

Again, if you were really really that pissed, you could find an illegal gun.
I don't Gamble and I certainly don't support criminals by buying stolen merchandise out of people's trunks.

And , i am a member of both the NRA and GOA and i'll be sending GOA a Hundred bucks to fight the Bump Stock Ban today . And others should do the same !!
not going to offer a lot of support for a device designed to get around automatic weapons being illegal.

you could do what most who really care will do - use a rubber band.

under the original intent of the 2nd full auto is perfectly legal

This business about original intent is so much bullshit. Bump stocks did not exist when the founding fathers were alive so the idea they would allow it is so much bullshit. The day you create a time machine so you can go back and ask them is when you can talk about original intent.
neither did cars. neither did our highways or the internet. back then it took quite some time to get a message 1000 miles. today it doesn't matter if next door or other side of the world. instant gratification.

it's really spoiled us to other things that simply *never* will be as "instant".

all we can do is put the context of what was intended then to todays environment. it was written to be a "living" document and as timeless as possible to avoid this bullshit you're trying to limit it to now so you can go "wah, i get my way, instantly...i millennial!" and regardless of how your inner-emo cries like a child, it may never be that "instant". it takes a lifetime to get through a lifetime.

how and why it was written is clearly documented in our history. maybe you should bitch less and learn more.

and how and why it was written was so the people could be as equally armed as the government

many do and do that today. which is why ending private sales is pointless. people that buy and sell them that way will continue to do so. the only people likely to do this would be the ones the "loophole" is there for - the lady who inherited a gun and just sells it to her nephew. the guy who bought a gun but doesn't want one and decides to sell it to their friend.

and before you say these people must be screened first, i can name more people who made it through a background check and went on a shooting rampage than you can name anyone who's bought a gun via this method who did the same.

background checks need to be fixed. not this "loophole". anyone selling many guns via this "loophole" is in fact breaking the law - prosecute them and leave the others alone.

yea well equally armed isn't going to happen. either by law or it's just not that easy to buy fighter jets. or aircraft carriers and the like.

WHERE'S THE NRA???

The NRA supports gun control and they will endorse Trump's decision to sign Nancy Pelosi's bill to create a Universal Background Check (which, in turn, requires National Gun Registration in order to enforce.) Trump is on record as being willing to sign legislation outlawing so - called assault weapons and he supports waiting periods.

When you study politics, it is like watching World Wrestling Entertainment. Trump looks like he kicked ass on that nutty wall idea, but he will cave on gun control (he proved that with the bump stock ban.)

Having built a government so big and intrusive that it cannot be resisted, the gun owners will cave and turn in or destroy their firearms by the millions. Most of them will realize that if they bury their weapons, it won't be worth a tinker's damn to them if they really need it. And, since the creation of the wall will also finance an army of federal machine gun toting mercenaries with eyes in the sky (armed drones) the sheeple will not dare stand firm for their Rights.

They will accept the Universal Background Check, followed by registration, then the criminalization of private party gun sales and then high capacity magazine bans, "evil" features and finally confiscation. The fix is in and the sheeple fell for it - hook, line, and sinker.
the NRA is a fraud

Tell that to the NYPD if you don't go through their annoying registration process for handguns.

So we need better background checks.

Better rules and regulations to keep guns outta criminal hands. Private sales need to be ilegal and carry severe penalties.

The founding fathers passed a law in congress ordering the Army to provide military grade weapons to the citizens. Give them rifles suitable for military purposes. The citizens would have these rifles in case the militia was ever activated.

Cannon were available and owned by private citizens. The bulk of our Navy was Privateers for quite some time.

Benjamin Franklin foresaw Paratroopers. That was 1784, a few months after the first manned balloon flight.

If you can imagine a future with ray guns, starships, and faster than light travel what makes our ancestors any less possessed of imagination?

i remember as a kid spending vacations at my Grandparents house in Pennsylvania . There were old 60 - 70 year old famers at that time and they told me about the Civil War and the Revolution and this was in the early to mid 60s . They were Old Guys , a couple of them had Cannon and that was 60 some years ago . Also remember that a WW2 Surplus Battle Rifle could be ordered through the back pages of an OUTDOORS or Hunting magazine and delivered to your house in the mail . ------------------ just a comment . ------------ And French shotguns were sold as 'Bringbacks' at Wolfes hardware for 12 - 15 bucks cash . My DAD had a 16 gauge French Double .
