God declares war on Christmas

Christmas is unbiblical, kiddos. That's why the Puritans banned it and fined anyone not doing a normal day's work. Among other things, Jesus was most likely born in the spring. Christmas is a Pagan holiday, as is the damn tree.
While that is true, if people want to celebrate it in remembrance of God sending his Son to die on the cross and redeem mankind, it is alright - after all, PMH........Every Day Is God's Day! He is the maker of Every Day of the Year - including December 25th.
Jesus isn't God nor is he the reason for the season...
Jesus is God and he is the reason for every season under heaven and the reason for every day of the year, every hour of every day, every minute of every hour and ever second of every minute. Jesus is Lord over it all, PMH. I only hope you do not find that out after your gone. You need to believe on Jesus to become your Savior now - not later when it is too late.

Anyone who believes that a crazy fucking Jew came for the Gentiles is insane, and knows nothing of Yeshua.

For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.

They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.

Jeremiah 10:3-4

That is too comical, and it does come up in a search online so its real. Jeremiah 10:3 - 10:4

Oh where 'o where is Bile Ori'lie on this one. When will 'Christians' being their war on the Christmas tree? How embarrassing to stumble over one's own holy robes.

Its in the old testament. THat's the part of the Bible CHristians get to pick and choose from (besides the other part - the New testament)
This is a description of fashioning and idol....carving an image from wood and adorning it with silver and gold. God declared war on worshiping idols.

Christmas, as with a tree, Santa, and flying reindeer has nothing to do with any religion. As is often the case with commercialized modern holidays with religious origins. Did we miss the bit in the Bible about Easter Bunnies, or did somoene change what Easter's about like Christmas?

The various Christian missionaries found that if they gave a Christian interpretation for the meanings of local customs, traditions and symbols with Christian beliefs in mind, that made it a lot easier for the pagans to convert to Christianity. That does not make the local Christianized customs some kind of extension of Christian theology or whatever.

Sorta. Early church wanted the pagans in the fold, so they let them keep some of their festivals, put a Christian spin on them, and voila, modern holidays like Christmas and Easter.

Hence statue groveling

No, that was not related. Local saints took time to come about and were not part of the initial missionary effort. Often the first missionary was martyred and became the saint that became associated with sainthood and the nation in particular. And no one grovels to statues anyway.

I remember the movie 'Black Robe' and how it portrayed the heroic missionaries to the Hurons and Iroquoi. The director thought the missionaries were insane and intended to portray them as insane fools. Instead it inspired a great many people to enter the priesthood. You secular Nazis will never understand this sort of thing.

Pretty much says don't act like those heathens, they do things like set up Christmas trees.

Hey Christians are gentiles, not Jews.

Except for the first one.

Come to think of it, Jesus wasn't a christian either.

Christianity is a pagan religion based on the Egyptian cult of Horus.

Why hasn't the History Channel done a piece on the history of Christmas? Didn't it start in Germany?

Just as early Christians recruited Roman pagans by associating Christmas with the Saturnalia, so too worshippers of the Asheira cult and its offshoots were recruited by the Church sanctioning “Christmas Trees”.[7] Pagans had long worshipped trees in the forest, or brought them into their homes and decorated them, and this observance was adopted and painted with a Christian veneer by the Church.

The Origin of Mistletoe
Norse mythology recounts how the god Balder was killed using a mistletoe arrow by his rival god Hoder while fighting for the female Nanna. Druid rituals use mistletoe to poison their human sacrificial victim.[8] The Christian custom of “kissing under the mistletoe” is a later synthesis of the sexual license of Saturnalia with the Druidic sacrificial cult

The Origin of Christmas Presents
In pre-Christian Rome, the emperors compelled their most despised citizens to bring offerings and gifts during the Saturnalia (in December) and Kalends (in January). Later, this ritual expanded to include gift-giving among the general populace. The Catholic Church gave this custom a Christian flavor by re-rooting it in the supposed gift-giving of Saint Nicholas (see below)
