EXACTLY. I have been to San Ysidro and seen the flood of mexicans coming in each morning. Funny thing - you don't see the same numbers going BACK each day.

Including the immigration from outside the country, California had a small increase in population. However, if you exclude it, there was small in decrease in population.

A lot of people don't seem to grasp this. Right now, more than half of the population growth is from immigration. Plus an additional chunk of US births, are due to higher fertility in immigrants.

In other words, without immigrants, our population would barely increase.

Assuming trends continue, without immigrants, our population would start falling.
