GOP turning "American helping American" into Socialism - Is that a national scandal?

The government has taken over a HUGE part of the national economy, serving as gatekeepers to health insurance.

You want your insurance company to be listed on the exchanges? You have to suck off some politicians.

The government will also decide how much profit an insurance company is allowed to make.

If that isn't a fucking national scandal, nothing is.

What is the far left? How do you distinguish far left from just the regular left. I'd love to know who you would consider far left and who is just left.

30 years ago, those who are moderately right leaning today would be considered the 'left'. Those who are moderately left today would be considered the fringe left then, and those who are progressive and think in terms of government as mother, would have had their mental stability called into question.

So, to answer your question, just about everyone who is not to the far right of the current spectrum (which would have been a moderate right 30 years ago).

I was with you with all that right of left and left of right of center but when I got to the part about my mental stability I got a little mixed up.

To see the big picture you are going to need a bigger timeline. Back in New England a couple hundred years ago it was about which side of the stone wall ones livestock was on. People went out West and the sheriff had to follow. People started canning that livestock and FDA showed up. People started flying and FAA landed on our doorstep. Cities, urban planning. Countryside, mineral rights. Proportionality speaking the government is not controlling more, there is just more that needs controlling. Unless it is your brain and then there is less that needs controlling and you can go off and play in the dandelions if you like.

Governors like Rick Perry have put out ads in other states trying to lure businesses and skilled workers to their states instead of starting their own companies. It's been on the news many times and the ads are easy to find.

We know nearly every Blue State gets back much less than 1 dollar for every dollar it gives the Federal Government and Red States get back MORE than a dollar for every dollar they give. Some Red States get back two dollars and more. If this isn't a redistribution of wealth, then what is it?

We know the millions left out of health care in Red States will die early. It's clear.

So where is the "fantasy"?

we've been giving welfare receipients fish for almost a century now. they still don't even know how to bait a hook. listen to a consrvative for a change. require that getting an education or learning a skill is necessary to continue to receive benefits. i know that wouldn't sit well wit hthe voters you are trying to buy
