How can any hormone therapy be "permanent"?
Stop taking puberty blockers, and they go through puberty.
Stop the estrogen or testosterone, and switch to the opposite hormone, and any effects will either disappear, diminish, or be surgically reversable.
No different than chemical (as opposed to surgical) castration.
So take puberty blockers until you are 18, and at 18 you go through puberty?

Wrong. With chemical castration you are talking about people who have already been through puberty and developed.
