If the insane people didn't get a hold of guns or knives, they would quickly turn to explosives and things would be far worse than they are now. The left is targeting the wrong issue here. They are so quick to excuse the person's behavior and blame inanimate objects.

And the left will never acknowledge that the shootings increased when schools and other places were declared gun-free zones. It was taken as an invitation. Do they really think the shooters would have still committed those crimes if they knew an armed guard or possibly armed citizens were in the schools or theaters?

Until the issues of mental health and what is wrong with people in this country is addressed, you can't stop the killing and violence.

Building a bomb is a time consuming exercise.

Unlike grabbing a gun and heading to the nearest school where you can turn it into a bloodbath before you even have the time to stop and think about what you are doing.

A bomb requires research, acquisition of the materials, figuring out how to put it together, assembling it, making sure that it will actually work and then taking it wherever you are going to set it off.

Obviously the OP hasn't bothered to think any of her moronic scenario through at all.

The United States comes in 7th place behind Norway, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Finland, Belgium, and the Czech Republic when it comes to death rate per million from Mass Public Shootings since 2009. US comes in 9th place in frequency of attacks per million. These libs want you to forget the fact that they are comparing a country with 320 million people to these little countries of 2 to 12 million. The numbers tell us that there are just as many crazies per million in all countries around the world. We just happen to have more crazies because we have such a large population. Get the crazies and the thugs off the street and leave our guns alone. The Prez's hometown Chicago had 426 deaths by shooting in 2014 - That is 47 times the death toll of this last shooting.

My wife just talked me into presenting our local state senator with a 'moderate' interdiction idea. It's not a cure-all, but nothing never is. It protects gun-rights, while at the same time, should decrease the incidence of random mass shootings.
She motivated me to approach a legislator to present it when she said, "if you had done this last year, many lives might have been saved."
She is right. I will do it. I have the background. I just have to decide if I truly care enough about fellow Americans to proceed, because, it will be very political, duh...and do I need the aggravation?.
Don't ask me what it is, but it will be a help towards decreasing the incidence of mass shootings, as they have now become a 'public health' issue.

Thanks to libs. We used to be able to order guns out of a Sears catalog, didn't even have to go to the store. Libs taught people they are victims in life if it isn't going perfectly and they are too special to deserve it.

Yeah you used to be able to get guns anywhere. Now the nation is flooded with guns because of our gun loving culture. The best argument supporting the 2nd amendment is that it is so comically easy for a criminal to get a gun in this country, that you may be best served by having one yourself for protection.

The comedy is in you trying to put a thought together. We've always had guns, we wouldn't even be a country if we didn't. You are always best served protecting yourself, unless you have a secret service detail on you and the family. Anyone could get a gun before, no background checks were around.

Those "job creators" who were given massive taxcuts that have hugely increased the national debt that they are inheriting reneged and sent all the good jobs overseas.

Now these kids are wondering how they will pay off their college debts and support their parents who no longer have decent jobs that they can retire from because the Wall Street Casino bosses wiped out their 401k's with the help and connivance of Republican deregulation.
