Which is why I used the word "captured" and not "surrendered" ..Then you state that your uncle was fighting the Japanese and it was standard practice to shoot the Japanese after questioning.
My father was over there for 3 years and it was not "standard practice" as rarely, if ever, did any Japanese ever get "questioned" as they never surrendered.![]()
It is a myth that no Japanese would ever surrender during the war.
