Has the republican perception of the income inequality crisis changed at all?

Leftist

yall babies need to grow up some day

I realize that some Rightwingers are so childish that they can't even admit that the massive inequality gap even exists, but it is equally troubling when they don't think it is a problem that 1% of the top earners own 40% of the nation's wealth.

Has this changed? I want to know. I know republicans have trouble with inconvenient facts but at some point they have to see the light. This economic issue is far worse than any government regulation ever conceived in this country.

News flash: economists warn that this problem alone will inevitably lead to more economic crises. Why? Because this is a consumption based economy. If more and more money is being concentrated at the top and the middle class is shrinking, the economy becomes destabilized because of the drop in consumer spending.

Of course republicans refuse to do anything about this problem. They are of course against any gov intervention on the economy despite the fact that is the ONLY way to fix the problem. They can't even agree to raise the federal minimum wage. Do you really think any wage under $10 is a liveable wage? It's waaayyy behind on inflation too. Not only would raising the min wage to 10 do very little to kill jobs or increase prices, but it would lift 16 million people out of poverty. The increase in demand from the higher wages would also create jobs. Government dependence would also lessen. Productivity in the lower classes has gone up 100% yet wages have only gone up 8%. Obviously that's a problem.

Republicans need to get out the way. Maybe they have the simple minded Fox News audience fooled, but the rest of us want these problems fixed.
I need to correct some of your "facts"...

Some economists believe it to be a problem. Just as many do not see it as a problem.
Why? Because the "bottom" 99% are the consumers who dictate the prices of goods and services...so just because a man has 30 billion dollars does not mean prices will be out of reach of the average Joe.

Raising the minimum wage will do two things no one can argue....it will raise the prices of goods and services (Eco 101) and it will lower the "job availability" to teenagers. Neither scenario is a good one.

We are NOT a consumption based economy. Who told you that? The US has been a production based economy since the early 1900's.

Fox News has a track record of being the most accurate and balanced cable News station since its inception.

Now.....please take your rant somewhere else. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Income equality must be stopped. Why should a brain surgeon make more than a pizza delivery boy? The skill set is nearly identical.
See as usual some of you have no fucking clue what I am even talking about.
I bet you also believe there is a war on women...am I correct?
And I bet you believe the reason republicans are against the ACA is because they don't want people with pre existing conditions to have the right to insurance....yes?
And I assume you believe that the republicans want to secure the border because they hate immigrants....true?

You do realize, I am sure, that you are a tool for the DNC.......yes?

Obama was in total control of Washington for two years. He did nothing about this. He has had control of the White House and Senate for 4 years. He has done nothing about this. He has had a totally sycophantic press at his beck and call for 6 years, willing to help him with his initiatives and to cover up his mistakes. He has done nothing about this.

And you want to say it's the Republicans' fault?
I will say Obama made light of this issue too late. However, what exactly is he supposed to do about it? You people are against any gov intervention on the market.

Oh and Bush's tax cuts only added to this problem.

How did the 2003 tax cuts add to the problem??

Who received the largest cuts? and don't say the rich you pin head because thats just not true, now go do some home work and get back to the adults with your results.

People like your are like nats buzzing around aggravating everyone, when you should be just food for the birds.

Less than six months actually, brainwashed dupe of the greedy idiot rich...

So why, again hasn't Obama done anything about this so-called "problem"?

If you don't know what Obama is supposed to do about it, why are you criticizing Republicans for not doing anything about it? Do you not see the cognitive dissonance in what you're saying? On the one hand, Republicans are teh bad because they're not doing something about a situation you don't like. It doesn't matter to you that they have no real power and can't get ANYTHING enacted without Harry Reid and Obama being on board. On the other hand, you totally excuse Obama from doing anything about it, even though he DOES have power, by saying you don't know what he's supposed to do.
Um no because Obama tried to raise the minimum wage. While I agree this isn't enough and has come way too late, what the fuck else can he do?

Do you really think raising the minimum wage will reduce income disparity? We've been raising it for decades now and it hasn't done anything of the sort.
Dude I just fucking said it wouldn't be enough. It's at least a start.

So your solution to workers being paid low wages is to pay some teenagers still living at home more while making sure the rest get paid nothing?

Obama had a clear majority in the House and Senate for his first 2 years.
Is he so bad that that wasn't enough? Shit, you guys sure picked a weak leader, didn't you?

With control of the Senate for his first 6 years and the House for the first 2, why hasn't he accomplished more than Reagan?

There are two reasons you have income inequality first not all jobs are equal and thus some don't require as much training and skill as others second not all people perform their jobs equally therefore they don't all get paid equally.

Did you seriously have the gall to refer to someone else as childish, Billy?

Because you don't mess with tax rates etc when the economy is in freefall, and Pubs have refused ANY attempt to do ANYTHING since Feb. 4, 2010. A-holes and fools like you, Pub dupe. You just found out you're a functional moron, and it makes no effect on you. Amazing.

Have you noticed that none of Obama's budgets get anywhere in Harry Reid's Senate?

To summarize this thread, you're complaining that Republicans are doing nothing about income disparity, while simultaneously admitting there is nothing anyone can do about it. Basically, you're just complaining about nothing. Is that about the size of it?

There are two reasons you have income inequality first not all jobs are equal and thus some don't require as much training and skill as others second not all people perform their jobs equally therefore they don't all get paid equally.

And, some people have tremendous ideas that end up benefiting mankind tremendously. I certainly don't begrudge Bill Gates or the (now deceased) Steve Jobs any of their money, whether they are lefties or no.

Another Billy Zero troll thread.

Only Progressives think it's a problem.
But Progressives have made it worse over the last 5 years.
So either they dont think it's a problem. Or they're happy with it being worse.
Which is it?
