I watch the numerous interviews she did on all the MSNBC, CNNs of the world that discussed her life history and how she got to where she was.....including trips to talk shows etc....and lot of gooshing pieces about her being a woman and of color.

She had a rather great up bringing as a upper middle class kid in Northern California.

The Lt Gov of VA, immigrated here in the early 60s. Here father came here with just $1.75 to his name. She went on to serve in the US Marines, graduated from Community College, then ODU, then got a Masters Degree. She ran a homeless shelter before taking public office, she unseated long time Dem Delegate to become the first immigrate to set in the oldest democratic chamber in North America. Fantastic story, of the American Dream...someone who truly should be celebrated

Meanwhile, it looks like the first ever Hispanic-American will be elected as AG of the State!

Not really...both are second in command of their respective Executive Branches...the major difference is that the LT Gov of VA didn't ride on the ticket as the Gov, but won on her own right statewide

I don’t know if this is true, but I heard on one of the talk radio programs I listen to that MSNBC and another mainstream tv channel interfered with their audience hearing Winsome Sears’ victory speech.

Can anyone here confirm this? I was watching Fox News channel at the time and did hear her wonderful and patriotic message.
