One doesn't need to support the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood in order to admit that it was democratically elected to power in Egypt. Nor does one need to support the Brotherhood in order to recognize the damage a military coup does to egypt's prospects at democracy, and the empowerment it gives to Al Qaeda and affiliated groups.
