"Dozens of American flags fluttered in the wind on Thanksgiving night in Hong Kong as thousands gathered at a rally in appreciation of the U.S. passage of two bills supporting human rights in Hong Kong that were signed into law by President Trump.

"As a man sang 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' a sea of cellphone torches lighted up the spaces between glittering skyscrapers in the city’s financial district.

"The crowd waved banners bearing the protest slogan: 'Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times.'"

China's Ministry of Foreign Affair said today the US has "sinister intentions" and its "plot" is doomed to fail after Trump signed two bills supporting HK protesters into law.

Trump claimed he signed the bills out of respect for President Xi and the people of Hong Kong; is that even possible?
 
He needs to veto it. We have no legislative authority to screw around in the internal affairs of another sovereign nation. Doing that just invites them to try to do the same thing to us.

Looks like China responded pretty much word for word the way I said they would. Duh.
